Message from the author: At first it looked like Choice of Sexuality would win, but then **** Honesty caught up a lot and allowed me to prepare the first of the secrets that Finn can uncover with this perk. I'm really excited about that. As for Chance of Pregnancy, I'll probably have some fun with having Finn try to have safe sex, but when things get serious, this perk will definitely be activated. And I also note that many readers have wanted it for the third time now.

Now, please enjoy...

Chapter 17

"You again." That grin again. And her glasses on her cute nose are so... cute...

Since I got the MCD, I see women in a different light. Does that make me a bad person? Or is it only now possible for me to see women as the beings they really are? Complex and multi-layered but at the same time simpler than I always thought? When you have as little contact with women as I do, it's hard to say. It's easier to like Bella and that's what I decide as I casually point my thumb over my shoulder.

"Should I go again?" The girl in her work uniform thinks for a moment.

"My boss wouldn't like that," she then decides. "Paying customers and all that."

"Then let me offer you some money in exchange for your services." I wave two dollar bills in the air while Bella gasps for air.

"What are you trying to say?" she asks with narrowed eyes. Man, people in New York are usually so short-tempered and only pretend to be polite. But Bella... Yup, she's really cute.

"That you make fantastic milkshakes and I want one of them." And I actually manage to do something I thought was impossible. I remain so serious that Bella isn't sure if I understood her reference to prostitution, and thus the hint that she is friendly towards me. Of course I did. Even I'm not that stupid. But the fact that I look at her so seriously makes her open up even more after I continue speaking. "But this time with chocolate again, OK?" She smiles warmly at me but her eyes are intently directed at me.

"Got it, Finn," she grins and looks for a reaction from me. But I'm not that serious, I'm even smiling a little and... Wait... am I playing... hard to get? So that's what it's like for the classic girls? I almost mess it up when I start to grin.

"What?" Bella asks, immediately jumping on my weakness. I shrug my shoulders.

"Do you happen to have a pen?" She pauses briefly in her movements.

"Why?" Again just a shrug.

"Just for something." Bella looks at me without saying anything. She's really good with the machine. Finally she's finished.

"Another big cup? Are you sure you won't get in trouble with your boss?"

"That's called customer loyalty," she grins, but refrains from giving me an insulting title that I've always earned prior. But not today. Today I'm doing everything right. She hands me the full cup, then her pen, and then an empty cup.

"Why is that?" I ask and her nose wrinkles again while her dark eyes examine me.

"There's no room left on your cup," she admits. And this time I take the cup and turn it over.

"Cool Bella" I say when I see her phone number. "Thanks."

I'm soooo cooool!

So cool that I just leave the empty cup and almost pocket the pen. To the annoyance of the guests waiting behind me, Bella and I waste a few more seconds, then she gets her pen back and I get something much, much more valuable.

"Well done bro" Rose praises me. "Now wipe that grin off your face. You look like a serial killer."

"Shut up" I laugh and wipe Rose's face with my hand to keep her away from me.

"Can we go home now?" Tammy just groans. "You're acting like children." I look at Rose, then Tammy flinches when my eyes return to her.

"Not yet my sweet well-behaved little Tammy" I grin and walk towards her while drinking my milkshake. Fuck Bella is making them so good. "We have to do one more thing to you."

"Fucking shit fuck..." Her voice is so quiet that I can't intervene, but you can tell that my little sister is about to explode. Rose, on the other hand, is in pink, soft heaven as she runs through the pink, soft aisles of the pink, soft shop. I only get tooth decay and diabetes here, but Plushy Bears is exactly the place I want to see Tammy in. And Rose likes it here too, now that we finally have money to spend.

"I just can't decide," she almost screams and dances through the aisles as if in a frenzy. I stroll casually after her, Tammy always one step behind me. It almost seems as if she's afraid of being alone here.

"What's wrong?" I ask her while Rose dances around in the background like a ballerina with flowers in her hair and rainbows following behind.

"I hate it here," Tammy admits. She looks very small as she looks around the pink, soft hell and nervously touches her elbow.

"But you have stuffed animals and toys too, don't you?" I'm not allowed in her room, so I only can guess. Tammy looks at me in shock.

"Fuck Finn, I'm 18. How stupid are you? I don't play with stuffed animals anymore. Fucking pervert."

"Yeah, okay," I say and think about it. I'm sure I can still get a few points out of my little sister. By acting like my little daughter... "But Tammy? Tammy."

"What?" She pouts. How cute.

"You behaved really well today. Look how happy you made Rose. And me too." I put my hand on her shoulder, but she practically slaps it away. "Don't ruin it again," I say sternly, holding her shoulder this time. Tammy sways under my weight. Come on, little sister. You must be starting to realize that you want it. Okay, at least a little. And... here... it... goes.

"So? What do you want from me? Should I carry Rose's shopping or something?"

I grin

"No... No..." Tammy shakes her head. "No. Absolutely not."

"Come on little sis. It's not like I'm forcing you to drink poison." Amused, I push her towards the shelf that is crammed full of teddy bears.

"Finn that... I can't do that..." She turns to me. "Please. That's... embarrassing..." And she actually looks around anxiously. Somewhere behind us, Rose is busy choosing a toy herself.

"Tammy, I want to reward you for being good," I say patiently.

"Then buy me something to wear," she urges. "Or new shoes. But what am I supposed to do with a fucking stupid, dumb, silly..."

Tammy Lynchwood. +1 (Ps -83)

Her mouth snaps shut as she notices that her words are becoming more and more childish. I just smile warmly. "Teddy's are stupid," she finally says, sulking and crossing her arms. "Please buy me something else." But I prefer to take her in my arms. "What the..."

"I'm responsible for you here, Tammy," I say as I hug my 18 year-old sister in the middle of the pink, soft aisle of Plushy Bears. "I'm older and I'll look after you." I hug her even tighter. "And now hug your big, strong brother and pick out a teddy bear as a reward."

Tammy Lynchwood. +6 (PS -77)

"Oh holy shit" laughs Rose as she comes to us. At least now I know that even when someone moves along on her path, it still is possible to be a mean bitch about it. Rose quickly stands next to me. "Are you sure what you're doing?" Tammy has a nasty look on her face but only I know that she has just reached another milestone on the path to her goal.

"I want that one" she announces and looks at me challengingly while I imagine her with it at home.

"Okay." Because I know, a Teddy Bear is important for a little child like Tammy.

"What?" asks Tammy.

"What?" asks Rose.

"Tammy was a good sister today" I announce. I won't be calling her that for much longer but she's not even at PS -50 so I still have to be careful with the titles. Good girl comes later, just as with Mom. I can't wait. "She deserves it for the horrible time she spent with us. Isn't that right Tammy? You deserve it. Yes, you deserve it." I come up to her and want to pat her cheek but she quickly dodges.

“Don’t touch me!”

“Oh, is Little Tammy angry?” I ask challengingly in a sweet voice. “Should we put the teddy back on the shelf and…”

“No!”

Tammy Lynchwood. +1 (PS -76)

She blushes.

“I want it. I said so.”

“Okay,” I say again. “Then off to the checkout.” I turn around, Rose at my side, a smaller stuffed animal, a giraffe, in her hands. She likes giraffes, I know that, even more than those online games she wants to play but Mom doesn't allow it. But right now I have to take care of Tammy, who isn’t moving. Standing next to her teddy, she looks really small and helpless.

Finn?” I grin.

“Do you need help?” She nods in total embarrassment. No points. “Ask like a well-behaved girl.” She bites her tongue and I almost think I’ve overdone it.

"Finn, can you please help me carry the teddy?"

Tammy Lynchwood. +2 (PS -74)

Smiling, I press Mom's wallet into Rose's hand.

"Of course, little sis."

Once I get home, I have to deal with the aftermath of my shopping trip.

Or maybe not...

Before I can get any more points out of her, Tammy runs off to her room. Not that I don't have the time, her teddy is so big that she has trouble pulling it up the stairs.

"And don't forget to give it a name," I call after her.

"Die in a fire!"

"Love you too sis!" And that's not even a lie.

"I better get myself to safety," Rose admits and pats my shoulder. "Call for help if you need me and..." She nudges me. "Good work with Bella. I'm proud of you."

And it feels fantastic that there are no more points for that. That means it's now completely normal for Rose and me to support each other.

I manage to get to the kitchen to get something salty to balance out all the sugar in my blood, then I hear something I wasn't expecting.

"Finn?" I turn around with a bag of potato chips in my hand.

"Jasmine?" I look at the clock on the wall. "What are you doing here?"

My sister enters the kitchen, dressed in surprisingly normal clothes for her job, which usually requires her to be perfectly dressed.

"Chips?" she asks. "Can I have some too?" Her friendly demeanor and her smile tell me that something is wrong, but Jasmine is the most important person in this house, or maybe Mom, but definitely not me, and the reflexes have been trained over 21 years.

"Of course." I get a bowl out and fill it with chips for my sister.

"Thank you," she says and takes them from my hand. Our fingers touch, just briefly, but it's enough for her mood to change suddenly. "Come with me into the living room," she orders and I follow. Either it's because of the touch or there are other reasons why Jasmine is always so bad about me. I'll probably find out as soon as I sit down in the living room.

"We need to talk about Mom," says my 23 year-old sister, sitting down opposite me, her chips untouched, just like mine.

"What's the problem?" I ask innocently.

"You know what." Okay. I wait, which only seems to make Jasmine angrier. But unlike Tammy, she has an outlet for her anger, me, and can release it in a controlled and icy way. I find that difficult to deal with. "Mom called me today and told me she needed my help."

"Mom has..." Does that mean she betrayed me? Despite the money thing? At -35?

"You know exactly that you behaved badly towards Mom," Jasmine continues. "She said you stole her money?"

"What?"

"Finn..." Jasmine shakes her head, embarrassed. "I also have access to Mom's account. I can see the delivery costs for two beds, a much too lavish meal, much too expensive drinks, a stuffed giraffe and..." She leaves out the teddy bear, either because she's embarrassed or because it benefits her favorite sister. I, on the other hand, am seething with anger.

"You honestly think I would steal from Mom?" I snap.

"You're adopted," comes the cold reply. I blink in disbelief.

"What?" I ask again. Did I mishear... or...

"You're adopted, Finn. It's only natural that you don't have as close a bond to this family as I or Tammy. You and Rose... you two..." She looks at me with pity. "I know you have it hard, but that doesn't justify the two of you stealing from our family."

"Family... stealing..." I can't believe it. No more anger. Just bewilderment. "Jasmine... we... we sleep on the floor... without light or heating..."

"And you deserve it." I can see that she is uncomfortable with these words. She can't look me in the eye. But she says them anyway. "You both have to finally get used to the fact that we took you in out of compassion, Finn, do you understand? Rose has understood, but in the last few days... the outburst at the dinner table... you are a bad influence on her... on this family. I can't let that happen, Finn. My job is stressful enough and Mom does everything she can to feed the four of us without Dad. You have no right to criticize her, you know?"

"We sleep on the floor..." I just say. "Without light and... Without heating..." I shake my head. "You... I..." But then I find something in the still, deep waters in which Jasmine has drowned my hopes of a good relationship with her. "I need your help, Jasmine. Rose needs your help."

But it seems that these are the wrong words.

"Then act like it," she says with a compassionate voice and smile. "Listen to your mother. Do what she says. And accept your punishments when they are appropriate." Then a different reaction appears on her face.

Disgust.

"I can't help you, Finn." She sounds almost sad but she shakes as if she has an unpleasant taste in her mouth. "There are things you wouldn't understand, okay? Things..." She takes a deep breath, struggles with herself. "Things you don't need to know." And then she goes cold.

Icecold disgust.

"And that's the end of this conversation. I have to go back to work now." She stands up, leaves me sitting down. Leaves me behind. Me and Rose. At the door she turns around again. "Mom will let you and your sister have the beds. But from now on you will only communicate with me. You will not talk to Mom, you will not speak in her presence or look at her. You two are not her real children and you have lost this right for the foreseeable future."

And with that... she's gone.

And for me there is only one option really.

Jasmine Lynchwood/ Caretaker "Let me take care of you hubby"

As the subject progresses, it will increasingly take on the personality of a responsible matriarch and housewife and see it as their primary goal to look after the user and all of his needs in a caring and loyal manner. The subject will increasingly see the user as the master of the house and its life.

PS -90

Message from the author: Wow, that was a chapter where I wanted to fit several things in at once and I managed to do it I hope. Usually, they are my worst enemies. And now we know what will become of Jasmine! I already have two good ideas about which path you can choose when she gets to -50 but I think the role of caretaker suits her well. I'm thinking of something special now that the whole family has been activated in the MCD. Let's see if I can do that by the next chapter. Otherwise, I hope I made Jasmine evil enough without making her out to be a real monster. And the -90 also has a reason. As always, I'm glad to be able to write for you.
