Chapter 7 - Dreaming Princess

Laying on the floor of the cage, hogtied once more with his hands behind his back, feet bent up, Link had his cheek pressed to the metal floor. The surface was cool against his skin, a nice reprieve from the hot dry air in the room, not at all what he would expect from being in a cage that hung over a pit of lava. It wasn’t a pleasant place to be, and incredibly uncomfortable, the prison wasn’t nearly as bad as **** Mountain back home. Though the his feminine attire and being tied up like a damsel in distress made the feminized man reconsider what was worse. Closing his eyes tight, feeling the weight of the makeup, the eyeshadow and mascara, he thought of his own land. Wishing for just a single piece of heat resistant clothing instead of the poofy dress and high heels he was **** to wear.

The captured Hylian wasn’t sure how long he stayed there in that cage, but it was long enough that his muscles cramped and complained. At one point he had attempted to get his prison guard to free him like he had before, but the gullible turtle man wasn’t to be fooled again and had someone with him so he wasn’t left alone. The green shelled prison guard was partnered with one of those creatures… a goomba. The walking mushrooms with large mouths and teeth creeped him the heck out. It had felt down right gleeful to crush one under his heeled foot when he had grown large…’What I wouldn’t give for another one of those red and white mushrooms now… or better a star.’ The bound man thought.

Enough time passed that Link felt himself having to struggle against his body's natural need to sleep, the anxiety and just how uncomfortable his current position was allowing him to hold out longer, but in the end his bodily needs won out. Mind full of pleasant dreams or once that would be if Link were actually the Mushroom kingdoms Princess.

The sun was shining bright on a warm day as Link stood on the beautiful and well maintained green grass of the golf course. He felt like he knew the Mushroom kingdom’s eighteen hole course by heart with how many rounds he had played here. “Days like today make me happy to be a Princess.” His own words didn’t feel right, like they weren't accurate. Something about that thought felt off, but he ignored it, as he wiped his brow of seat as he walked up to the tee where a ball was waiting for him to start the hole. Looking down at his outfit a bright smile crossed his pink glossy lips seeing the pink polo shirt that hugged his femmine assets, paired with a blue belt and short white skirt that was pleated at the end. Unlike his normal attire he was wearing white golf cleats with pink accents that matched his clubs perfectly. As he stepped to the tee to get in position he bent over slightly, aware that someone was checking him out, most likely Mario.

Taking a swing with the driver he felt his hair, that was up in a high ponytail swish about as he hit the little white ball for everything he had. The smile on his face only grew as he watched the ball sail off into the distance in the direction of the flagpole. It was a perfect hit, but still something was off. Turning around he saw the sky darken as night fell and a blood moon rose into the sky. “Oh, no!” He heard himself speak in a soft feminine manner, knowing what the blood moon meant. In the air in front of the moon was one of Bowser’s airships flying in his direction. “Wait… Not Bowers, the blood moon is caused by Ganondorf.” Just saying his old villain’s name caused the dream to melt away.

Blinking a few times, Link felt like he was fluttering his long eyelashes causing a teetering laugh to escape his pink lips. He thought something was off, but that couldn’t be more untrue as he zoomed down the road on her pink and white motorcycle and crossed the finish line to come in first for the race. Turning hard, Link slid the vehicle to a stop, pulling off his pink helmet and shaking his head so that his long blonde hair shook about. Holding the helmet in the air he heard the crowd go wild at his victory, the second and third place contestants only now crossing the finish line. The roar of the crowd was almost deafening as they cried out, cheered and clapped for his victory.

“Peach! Peach! Peach!”

He even saw a banner held between a few mushroom kingdom’s residents. The read GO PRINCESS! It felt great to have their support so he smiled at them and waved. “Today is such a good day.” He said moving back to his motorcycle, tossing his helmet to his crew. Sitting down side saddle, Link soaked in the crowd's cheers as an odd feeling grew in his stomach, the kind of feeling when you know something is going to go wrong. Still he smiled and raised the gold trophy that was handed to him into the air with both hands. That feeling in his stomach only grew, causing the smile to fall from his face as he saw someone he didn’t expect. At first he thought it was himself walking closer, but as she got closer the obvious truth hit him. Wearing the same outfit as himself, a slimming white jumpsuit with white accent and a pink scarf, paired with pink knee high boots was Princess Peach. The real Peach that made the fog in his own mind that he hadn’t even noticed fade away as she hip checked him to the floor, the trophy flying into the air.

Peach snatched the object before it hit the floor, glaring down at Link. The girl felt larger than life as she loomed over him as he finally realized he was dreaming. “They aren’t cheering for you, those cheers are for me. Stealing my clothes doesn’t make you royalty.

He went to speak up, what was happening here didn’t really matter, she had to come with him back to Brawl so he could get his life back. The knowledge this was a dream mattering little as he went to plead for her to listen, his sleeping mind only partially gasping the idea of this not being real. Then he suddenly saw her pull the master sword, she didn’t have it a moment ago, or he hadn’t noticed.

“No need for you to say a thing, you can’t have my kingdom you fake and I think I like Hyrule and the master sword.” Not daring to get up as she pointed the blade in his direction he watched as she seemed to consider what she had just said. “I think I will keep Zelda too, she is much more fun to be with than Mario. You can have him so long as you keep pretending to be me, just in case I want him back later.”

She had him dead to rights if she wanted to, it seemed the Princess didn’t want to let go of her life and wasn’t willing to give back his. “Wait… This doesn’t sound like you! The Princess Peach I know would never…” Link started to say before his body shook, a light snort sounding as he opened his eyes, realizing he was still laying down inside the metal cage as it slightly rocked back and forth on a chain over the lava.

“Mwt wws…” The muffled words sounded through the gag as Link tried to say it was a dream, like those outside the cage on the brick platform knew what had been going through his mind. Only now there wasn’t the green shelled koopa and a goomba, but another of those turtle creatures. This one dressed in a blue robe, with a flopping pointed hat and caring what was obviously a magic rod.

“Wakey, wakey Princess.” Kamek said, looking at the bound creature in the cage, believing them to be Princess Peach. Without ever visiting Brawl the powerful wizard wasn’t able to see past the Peach profile that now inhabited Link.

Clearing his throat behind Bowser’s right hand man the green shelled koopa spoke up. “Are you going to take her to another castle so Mario can’t find her.”

Adjusting his glasses Kamek cocked his head slightly to the side as he looked at the caged girl in front of him, not bothering to look at the minion who spoke up. “No, the King has something else in mind.”
