Getting Her Attention Pt. 2
The atmosphere in the room grew impossibly tense as the golden glow surrounding Aphrodite pulsed faintly. She crossed her arms, tilting her head as her turquoise eyes danced between you and Liam, the smirk on her lips as sharp as a blade.
“Oh no,” she said, her voice smooth as silk, “I’m not leaving just yet. Not after that little prank.”
You stiffened, every instinct screaming that this was about to take a turn for the worse. Liam, ever the optimist, tried a nervous chuckle. “Come on, Aphrodite. We said we were sorry. No harm, no foul, right?”
Her gaze snapped to him, and her smirk deepened. “Oh, darling Liam, do you really think you’re getting off that easily?”
Liam paled, his posture rigid as Aphrodite sauntered toward him, her every step deliberate and feline. She reached out, trailing a perfectly manicured finger down the line of his jaw. He flinched but held his ground.
“You,” she purred, her voice dripping with mock sweetness, “are a special case. My favorite mortal in this little game for two. Do you want to know why?”
Liam didn’t answer, but his eyes darted to you for a split second, searching for reassurance. You could only stand there, frozen, powerless to do anything without risking her wrath.
She stepped even closer, her hand now resting on Liam’s chest. “It’s because you amuse me. So devoted, so noble. Willing to do anything for your cursed friend over there. But here’s the funny part…” She leaned in, her lips brushing his ear as she whispered, “Even with all that devotion, you can’t even get hard unless she’s the one touching you.”
Liam’s face turned a deep shade of red. “That’s not so bad,” he said, his voice defensive but lacking conviction.
Aphrodite threw her head back and laughed, the sound echoing in the room like bells laced with poison. “Oh, don’t lie to me, Liam. You know it’s bad. It’s my little gift to you—a reminder of who really has the power here.”
You felt your fists clench at your sides, anger boiling beneath the surface, but you stayed silent. Aphrodite’s games were dangerous, and any interruption could make things worse.
She pulled back slightly, her expression turning almost predatory as she began to trail her hands lower. Liam flinched again but didn’t move, his jaw tight.
“Let’s test it, shall we?” Aphrodite said, her tone light and teasing. She pressed closer, her hands roaming his torso in ways that made you feel uncomfortable just watching. Her movements were slow, sensual, as if she were savoring the moment.
Liam stayed rigid, his face a mix of embarrassment and frustration. “Stop it,” he muttered through gritted teeth.
“Oh, sweetheart,” she said, her tone dripping with mock pity, “it’s not like this is new for you. But look at that…” Her hand rested lightly on his stomach as she tilted her head, feigning curiosity. “Nothing. Not even a twitch. What a shame.”
Liam’s ears burned red, and he refused to meet her gaze.
Aphrodite straightened, her smirk returning. “Well, that’s enough fun for now. I’d hate to break my favorite mortal completely.” She turned slightly, her eyes glinting with mischief. “But you do deserve a punishment, don’t you? And lucky for you, I’m feeling creative. You'll still be punished, but I want to offer you another deal.”
Her gaze softened, almost affectionately, as she cupped Liam’s cheek. “You’re handsome, Liam. So handsome, in fact, that even I can’t resist you. So here’s the deal…”
Her attention shifted to you for a moment, her smirk widening as she relished the unease written all over your face. Then she turned back to Liam.
“I’ll let you have me,” she said, her voice dropping to a sultry whisper. “In any way you want. Any shape, any form. I can be your dream woman, and I’ll even fix your little… condition.” She glanced pointedly at his groin, then back up to his face. “In return, your dear friend over there will lose his attraction to women entirely. No more slow, gradual transformation. She will then be attracted to men just as much, just as she should. It’ll happen instantly.”
You felt your stomach drop, the weight of her words crashing over you like a wave.
Liam’s eyes widened, his expression torn between disbelief and outrage. “You can’t be serious,” he said, his voice low.
“Oh, I’m very serious,” she replied, her tone deceptively sweet. “Think of it as a win-win. You get to be a man again, fully functional and free of my little curse. And I get to speed up his journey to embracing his true self. What do you say?”
Liam glanced at you, his expression conflicted. “I… I can’t do that to him.”
Aphrodite’s smile faltered, and her gaze turned icy. “Oh, don’t be so quick to decide, Liam. Think about it. Really think about it.”
You wanted to scream, to tell Liam to refuse, but the lump in your throat kept you silent. The tension in the room was suffocating, every second dragging out like an eternity.
Finally, Liam shook his head, his voice firm. “No. I won’t do it.”
Aphrodite’s eyes narrowed, and for a moment, you thought she might lash out. But then, to your surprise, she let out a soft laugh.
“Interesting,” she murmured, stepping back. “You really are something, Liam.”
Aphrodite didn’t move. Instead, she crossed her arms and smiled, a glint of mischief sparking in her eyes. “Oh no, I’m not done with you yet,” she purred, shifting her focus directly onto you.
You swallowed hard, suddenly feeling like a mouse cornered by a particularly playful cat.
“I have to say,” she continued, walking toward you with an almost lazy elegance, her hips swaying in that infuriatingly perfect way. “This gradual transformation of yours… it’s been delightful to watch. The subtle changes in your body, your posture, all of it. Honestly, I don’t think you even realize how much you’ve already changed, do you?”
Your stomach churned. You glanced down at yourself instinctively, but your "guy clothes" still hung on you as awkwardly as they had for weeks now. The bra beneath your loose sweatshirt bit into your back more than usual, and you shifted uncomfortably.
“It's not that bad yet...” you muttered, avoiding her gaze.
Aphrodite grinned, leaning closer. “Oh, sweetie, denial only makes it more fun for me. But don’t worry. You’ll see. Or… feel, rather.”
You glared at her, but she just giggled and waved a hand dismissively. “Anyway, excuse me for just a second.”
And before either of you could respond, she vanished in a flash of golden light.
Liam let out a shaky breath, rubbing the back of his neck. “What just happened?”
You scoffed. “She'll be back. She’s never done, Liam. She lives to mess with people.”
He nodded grimly. “Fair point.”
Before you could say anything else, the golden light flared again, and Aphrodite reappeared, looking far too pleased with herself.
“Miss me?” she said, her voice dripping with mock sweetness.
“What is it?” you groaned, your patience already worn thin.
“Oh, nothing much,” she said with a theatrical shrug. “I just cashed in a little favor with Theodon, the god of reality. Lovely man, really. A bit eccentric, but he still owes me big time. Love counselling for Olympus isn't easy.”
Your heart sank. “What did you do?”
Aphrodite clapped her hands together dramatically. “Oh, you’re going to love this. From now on, everyone—and I mean everyone—will only refer to you in feminine terms. She, her, girl, young lady… you get the idea. No more ‘dude,’ no more ‘he’ or ‘him.’ It’s all her, all the time.”
You stared at her, your mind reeling. “You’re joking.”
She grinned wickedly. “Oh, sweetie, I never joke about my work.”
Liam blinked, looking between you and Aphrodite. “Wait, what? Like… even me? I’ll only call her… uh, I mean him…” His voice trailed off, and his brows furrowed in confusion. “Why does that feel weird to say?”
Aphrodite’s grin widened. “Exactly. It’s already starting to settle in, isn’t it? Feels unnatural to call her anything else now, doesn’t it?”
Liam frowned, his mouth opening and closing like he was trying to **** himself to say something but couldn’t. Finally, he looked at you, his face scrunching in bewilderment. “I… this is so weird. I can’t even… like, dude* you—” He stopped mid-sentence, wincing. “Nope, that feels wrong."
Your stomach twisted as realization dawned. “You’re serious,” you said, turning back to Aphrodite. “You really did this.”
“Of course, I did,” she said, her voice sickeningly sweet. “And you’re welcome. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have far more important things to do. Enjoy your new reality, girls!” She winked at you, her tone dripping with mockery as she vanished again, her laughter lingering in the air long after she was gone.
The room fell silent. You and Liam stared at each other, both too stunned to speak.
Finally, you broke the silence. “Say it again.”
Liam hesitated. “Say what?”
“Anything. Just… talk to me.”
He nodded slowly. “Okay. Uh… are you okay, d-dude?” His voice stumbled over the word, like he couldn’t even fathom using “dude” anymore.
You groaned, running a hand down your face. “This is insane.”
Liam looked at you, his expression half-apologetic, half-amused. “Yeah, uh… it’s gonna take some getting used to all of this.”
You glared at him, and he raised his hands defensively.
“Hey, don’t blame me! Blame her!”
