No one safer than his mother

Ash went into his childhood home in Pallet Town, the familiar scent of his mother's cooking wafting into his nose.

"Hey, I'm home!" Ash called.

"Ash!" his mother, Delia Ketchum, called from the kitchen. "I didn't know you were coming!"

She walked into the living room and gave Ash a hug. "Good to see you, Mr. Champion of Alola!"

"I made some time to see you," said Ash.

As Delia broke the hug and turned her back to Ash, he lobbed one of his new Poke Balls at her. It hit her in the back and she shrunk into nothing but red energy which went right into the ball.

The ball shook a few times before making the signature click! sound, signaling Delia's capture.

"Nice!" said Ash. He wondered what he should do. make Delia a specific role, or just leave her as a mindless slave for now?
