Chapter 68 by Artican Artican

Will Sam accept the match?

Sam needs to find a partner

“I’d have to find someone…” Sam thought out loud. The prospect of wrestling the two athletes was too enticing to not consider. She was already imagining how the match would go.

“How about Jen?” Sonya asked. “You two are close.”

Elsa perked an eyebrow, not knowing who Jen was. Sonya noticed and explained, “They’re practically tag partners already with how much they hang out together.”

“We don’t always hang out, we have our own things too…” Sam argued. She was feeling a little self conscious about only being known at the college as Jen’s friend. “Besides, I could find others to team up with if I wanted.” She thought about Tina who would probably mop the floor with the two, being a proficient martial artist. While that wasn’t exactly WSW expertise, it was a wrestling adjacent field. Besides which, Sam was confident she could beat the athletes with Tina as her partner.

Jen is really knowledgeable about WSW though. It would prove your theory if you brought in a submission wrestling expert!” Sonya pushed.

“Hmm… you do have a point,” Sam agreed, not able to resist adding an extra jab at the track runner. “She did beat you in your match with her, after all,” she had to tease.

“Uh huh…” Sonya huffed. “And I welcome the rematch!”

“Shoot, Sonya, have you not won a submission match yet?” Elsa asked.

“Technically no…” Sonya squirmed. “But I’m getting better!”

“Maybe I should tag with Sam instead,” Elsa teased.

“Noo… Elsie! What happened to our athletics team?” Sonya moaned. “We could be called something like, “The All-Americans!”

“I’m Australian!”

“Oh yeah!” Sonya laughed. They all laughed. “Well, we can come up with a cool team name!”

Just then there was a squeak coming from the entrance. Someone was opening the doors!

All three women jumped and went for their clothes, scrambling to cover up. They giggled as they fumbled to get their clothes the right way on and squeezed into their swimsuits and jogging outfit. Sonya grumbled about chlorine getting all over her clothes as she wriggled into her clothes. Her wet body made the fabric cling more than was comfortable.

They had barely managed to get something on when another woman entered the pool area. She scanned the room and spotted the trio sitting by the pool.

“Hey Elsa!” greeted Elsa’s coworker. The wrestlers sat as nondescript as they could, trying to act as natural as one would sitting in a group by the pool. Elsa’s coworker furrowed her brow at the funny scene. “Are you all forming a swim team or something?” she asked.

“Something like that,” Elsa giggled. “What are you doing coming in so early, Sandy?”

“My roommate brought a guest home last night. He was still in her room when I got up,” Sandra explained. “So, I thought it’d be less awkward if I left the apartment early. But, don’t mind me, you guys do your thing!”

“Well, I need to finish my run,” Sonya said, feeling out of place as a runner at a swimming pool. She wanted to get out before the new person started guessing what they were doing alone at the pool before opening hours.

“I have a pass!” Samantha pointed out, showing the new lifeguard her swim pass. She reddened in the face, realizing how conspicuous that was.

Elsa stood up to deflect from Sam’s awkward outburst. “Well, I’ll get a couple of more laps in before I head out,” said aloud. “You wanted to race, Sam?”

“Yeah!” Sam smiled, relieved Elsa didn’t let her statement linger.

“Let us know when you find a partner for that… thing,” Sonya told Sam before heading out.

“I’ll find someone!” she assured the blonde.

Sam and Elsa spent the rest of their pool time doing laps. It was motivating for Sam to train with someone much more skilled than her. She was feeling pumped and ready to take on the day by the time she hit the showers. She left Elsa at the pool and went on with her morning.

As she commuted to work, Sam thought about who she could partner with to face Elsa and Sonya. Jen was the obvious choice, but she still felt that Tina would be the superior wrestler. If she wanted to win, it would be with Tina. Plus, they could use Tina’s space as the venue.

She texted her yoga instructor friend and received a reply moments later. Tina was busy for the week.

“Frick!” Sam cursed, then texted Jen.

Jen responded that she had midterms coming up.

“Oh come on!” Sam complained. She was running out of options. More realistically, she was out of options since she didn’t really know anyone other than Jen and Tina who did WSW. So much for knowing people. She pondered the likelihood of recruiting someone like Leah Piper to be her tag partner. It would be a big coup, but extremely unlikely. She imagined the conversation in her head; “Hey, you don’t know me, but do you want to come over and submission wrestle two other strangers with me?” Leah would just think she was a horny, obsessed fan. She wouldn’t be far off either.

Sam wondered if she could recruit someone from wrestling practice. She tried to remember the name of the stout girl who was really good on the mat. She didn’t get any lesbian vibes from that one though, so she had a feeling it would be a tough sell to get her into girl on girl erotic wrestling.

Sam shook her head, feeling like the gods were against her. Elsa and Sonya wanting to wrestle her felt like a godsend until she had no one to fill out the teams. Now it was almost a perverse joke. She needed to get somebody or this opportunity would be lost. She considered going over and convincing Tina to join her. She’d have to either pull a favor or beat her in a match. Neither seemed like something she could accomplish easily. She just barely won her match with Tina and even then, Tina wasn’t taking her seriously. Jen on the other hand was someone on her level. They’ve gone back and forth in their practices so she could have a chance of beating her. Of course, that meant that she could be beaten by Elsa or Sonya as well. Her options were limited though. Of course, with Jen she might be able to convince her to put her studies aside long enough to have their match. What was one night off of studying?

Who does Sam try to get to be her partner?
