Early the next morning Kenny climbed out of bed and walked into the living room where he found Anna giving a still half-asleep Mindy a quick hug, "Anna, I'm really sorry, I've just never been a morning person," Mindy yawned,

"And I always have, nothing to apologize for, we'll talk later," Anna warmly replied as the hug broke. Kenny rubbed the back of his neck, feeling nervous that somehow, Anna would already know what he told Brian, and somehow, what he was thinking of doing last night when he saw her on the couch. Though as Anna turned her head and the pair made eye contact, she merely gave him a normal, friendly smile as always, "Morning Ken. I'm heading home. Thanks for letting me stay, and I know we didn't talk much, but I hope your night with Brian was fun,"

"Oh, yeah, it was. Thanks," Kenny nodded as Mindy turned and shuffled back into her room. Mindy's going back to bed...Anna's leaving...hell, if I have any chance at bringing her to Ice Climber tonight this is probably my only chance. Kenny cleared his throat and lightly jogged over to the front door before Anna could open it, "Hey, I was itching to talk a walk anyway. Mind some company?"

"Oh, sure, that'd be nice," Anna accepted with ease, and Kenny slipped on his shoes, following Anna out of his apartment and down onto the street. "Your couch was very comfortable, by the way,"

"Courtesy of Brian and Rachel, they went all out on a housewarming gift for us," Kenny tucked his hands into his pockets and kept pace with the blonde, "It really is cool that you're going to be living so close to us. We were both a little worried about being in Dartwin all alone, you know?"

"Oh gosh, me too. I was ready to cheer for joy when you guys told me you were moving as well," Anna laughed back, "And I'm lucky that it was good friends like you too. I love Nikki, but the way she is, I wouldn't be visiting her house too often. Who knows what I'd walk in on," Kenny let out a hearty laugh.

The pair finished the first of three blocks on their walk, "Well, you know, Brian is going to be around a lot, apparently. It never occurred to me before, but he really didn't ever hang around Greenwall too much, he was always out here in Dartwin,"

"That's good. I'm sure you'll miss JJ a lot, so at least you have one other friend who you'll be able to stay in regular contact with," Kenny tightened and relaxed his hands a few times, trying to work up his nerve, "Though, once college starts and everyone else gets on campus, things shouldn't be too different,"

"Yeah..." Kenny murmured back, half-listening to what Anna was saying, and only trying to shape the question in his mind.

"Are you okay? You seem very distracted, Kenny," Anna curiously pointed out with a touch of concern in her tone,

Kenny gave his head a small shake, "Sorry, I...don't exactly know how to do this without it coming off as strange," Kenny slowed walking and Anna did the same until they were standing along one another, "I guess I'll just ask it. Anna, would you like to come out for a drink with me tonight? You know, as friends?" Anna's eyes widened slightly, "I-It wouldn't be just us, Brian and Gwen would be there too. It'd be just for some fun, we'd all get to talk and have a good time as a group. I just figured since we're gonna be neighbors, why not closer friends, right?"

"Oh, a drink," Anna hummed then gave Kenny a light tap on the chest, "Why would that be strange, friends go out for drinks all the time, especially in groups. I actually appreciate the invite, Kenny, thank you," The blonde smiled, which Kenny quickly returned, "Honestly with Nicole gone all summer anyway, I was already feeling stir crazy, so spending time with you, Mindy, Brian, Gwen, whoever, it all sounds good,"

"Awesome, well, I'll let Brian know you'll be coming," Kenny motioned to Anna with his head and the pair resumed their walk, "Do you know where the Ice Climber is?"

"Oh yeah, I've been there with Nikki before, it's close by," Anna let out a small gasp and turned her body, "Oh that means I'll have to unpack my formal clothes. I didn't think I'd be going anywhere nice with friends this summer," The blonde giggled, "Well, I'm almost home, so you enjoy your walk, and I'll see you tonight?"

"Absolutely, tonight!" Kenny gave Anna a wave as she took off with a skip in her step to the tall apartment building at the end of the road, "Wow...that was easy. Heh, does that count as asking a girl out? No right? Does it?" Kenny asked himself as he turned back and headed back down the street, mulling over the idea as he went, happy that he got Anna to come either way.
