The Show Begins

Batgirl remained tied up, behind a large curtain that covered the back of the stage. She could hear the crowd growing outside, with murmurs from patrons that Penguin had invited to see her demise.

"Do you really think he caught her?"

"I'll believe it when I see it."

Almost on cue, the curtains moved to the side, revealing the tied up heroine. Penguin walked on stage as the criminals began to cheer, excited to see the heroine that had been tormenting them for years had finally been caught.

"Thank you all for coming! Tonight, we'll finally see the demise of the Bat!" said Penguin.

To the side, Batgirl saw Jack Ryder, the infamous reporter in Gotham. He was furiously taking pictures, clearly invited by Penguin to ensure Batgirl's humiliation.

"We'll be starting the festivities with a good, old-fashioned bidding war! Batgirl here is decked out in some impressive gear. You all can bid on each article, and the winner will get it immediately. We'll go until there is nothing left to bid on..."

She knew what that meant. Penguin was going to have her stripped.

"Now, let's get started, with our first piece of gear!"
