Chapter 107 by MrLarsBar MrLarsBar

Who is it?

Lucius Fox himself

It was Lucius Fox. Lucius motherfucking Fox. No doubt about it: that timber-like voice, the grey hair, and the glasses. It was him. The CEO and President of Wayne Enterprises. The richest man in the room. The billionaire who gained the Wayne fortune and propelled himself as the second wealthiest man on the face of the Earth. A legendary businessman who alongside Bruce Wayne ushered Wayne Enterprises into a new era.

And the guy whose wife he was piping.

He was taller than Aaron expected, meeting him eye-to-eye. The man oozed a calm aura of charisma. His suit was dark, had a shiny lapel, and was so smooth that Aaron could find no creases no matter how hard he looked. The young man wasn't tense but he certainly wasn't relaxed either. This was his boss, after all. The final boss. The boss of bosses. Even so, he maintained his stoic mask.

"Hello, sir. It's an honour." Aaron probably didn't make it sound like one. "I'm Aaron Reigner."

"Good to meet you, young man." Lucius Fox patted him on the shoulder and blinded him with a pearly white smile. "My wife has been telling me about you and your friends. Amazing work. Wayne Enterprises does not forget your efforts."

Lucius offered a handshake. Aaron took it.

Discreetly, he glanced at Tanya. Aaron could see it in her. There was something arousing about shaking hands with Lucius Fox, her husband, the man who he was cucking into oblivion. Whose penis was three times smaller than his; whose fingers were half as dexterous and skilled. The small twitch in Tanya's lips and the sway of her hips spoke volumes. She liked it. She wanted them to meet–for her husband to meet the man fucking her harder than he ever could.

His eyes settled back on Lucius. While Tanya aged like wine, appearing to be in her forties, Lucius was exactly as he looked. A rich black man in his mid-fifties.

"Thank you, sir."

"Ah, my apologies, but I listened to a little of your conversation. I just want to let you know that the investigation regarding their attack is still happening." There was a twinkle in Lucius' eyes. A strategy. A hidden meaning. "We are quite close to reaching the truth as well. The Gotham Police have cooperated wonderfully."

'Oh...I see what you're doing, Lucius Fox.'

Lucius WANTED Aaron to tell everyone in the company. How cunning. It was a method to bring the employees comfort without actually having to give an official statement.

'Wait a minute. Lucius Fox leads We Are Robin and his son Jace is Batman in New York. They're a part of the extended Bat Family. Maybe…'

Maybe he was overextending his hand but he wanted to try it anyway. Plus, anybody in his place would ask this question regardless. Aaron was an ordinary man. He was going to play that part.

"I'm sure Batman will do something about it," Aaron said.

"Oh?" A quirk of the brow from Lucius and a shift in Jace. For anybody else, it would mean nothing. To Aaron, it confirmed everything. "You think so?" Lucius asked.

"Years ago, Mr. Wayne announces that he funds the Bat," Aaron pointed out. "You could say Batman is almost like a coworker to many of us here in Wayne Tech."

Lucius laughed boisterously, head tilted back. "That's one way to put it, yes. Mr. Wayne has his strange habits. In the past, I entertained many of them. Nowadays, with what's been happening with Gotham," he clicked his tongue, his smile strained, "not so much."

The CEO wanted to end the conversation. Interesting. Aaron didn't push further. His character was calm and collected, knowing when to ask and when to keep quiet. Jeopardising his ordinary life and persona wouldn't be wise.
