The Brewstand

The Brewstand, a grand machine in the basement of a cute couple's lovely private home, stood soullessly, covered in dust. Only one person on earth knew of its existence - Lisa, the owner of the house, a professional economist and scientist who had created The Brewstand. Of course, she had enlisted the help of a few engineers and scientists, but they didn't know what it really was. Perhaps they thought they were calculating the diameter of a pipe for her sink, not a pipe that would stick from the body of an extraordinary machine that could change the world if Lisa wanted to share it.

But Lisa didn't want to... She was actually afraid that the state would simply take her machine for the war and erase her memory with her own invention. An invention that brews potions from various ingredients (from two to five). These potions had extremely different effects, depending on what was combined and how much. Lisa often didn't understand how the AI in Brewstand worked, because once she made the perfect soap-potion with a pencil eraser and a dirty sheet that she was having a hard time washing, and she tried to brew something in desperation. As a result, she had soap that could wash everything. From grapes and water, she created a bottle of perfect wine (potion of wine, to be precise), which she tried with her husband, absolutely undescribable taste, which makes you just dizzy enough to think about sex... they had a very hot night afterwards. Not so long ago, from coffee, salt and ink, she created an energy potion that increased her attention hugely for a day. The Brewstand was almost magical, she knew it. And today she wanted to experience something special

If you want to do your own story about Brewstand, but not about Lisa, you can assume the state found her, or one of the scientist, who helped, understand what it is and created a copy, or just say your plot is a parallel universe :) Hope you will like it
