Gwen Tennyson (No Watch Ben Timeline)

In this timeline Ben Tennyson never received the Omnitrix while on vacation with his Grand Pa Max and his cousin Gwen. This resulted in a more boring summer trip as it was a normal cross country road trip. Ben and Gwen never found out Max was a plumber or that aliens exist and Gwen never learned magic or met Kevin Levin.

It's been 8 years since then, now 18 years old Gwen is getting ready to attend university. She could not be more proud of her perfect grades and long list of extracurriculars which granted her a full scholarship. Unfortunately her dedication to her academic life has left her social life suffering as she has no one she considers a close friend. She began to wonder what to do with her summer break when she found a photo of herself, Ben and Max. Feeling nostalgic Gwen decided to go on a camping trip herself.

Heading out to the forests surrounding Bellwood she sets up her tent before going on a walk to observe the local fauna. As she catalogs a flower she hears a booming sound from above. Looking up she spots a flaming object that entered the earth's atmosphere. She watches it trace across the sky before both hearing the crash and feeling the rumbling beneath her feet.

"That sounded like it landed nearby, this could be my chance to study a meteorite! I wonder what it's geological composition is." Gwen says to herself as her excitement builds. Grabbing her backpack she follows the smoke to a crate in the ground. But looking inside the crater she does not find a meteorite but instead a metal object.

"It's man made? It doesn't look like a satellite. I can't make out the markings though." She risks sliding down into the crater to get a closer look. She doesn't recognize the engineering techniques that would be needed to make it but as she approaches the pod begins to open. Inside of it Gwen sees a strange looking wristband with an emblem that resembles two fuchsia hearts with overlapping bottoms.

"What kind of device is that?" She wonders aloud as she reaches out to it. As she does the strap of the watch partially liquifies as it hops onto her wrist, fastening itself tightly before solidifying itself.

"No, get off of my arm!" Gwen pulls her arm back, trying to shake it off but it does not budge. Climbing out of the crater Gwen begins attempting to remove the foreign object. Grabbing the device she can't get any leverage and pulling on it feels like pulling her own skin. She accidentally presses a button that makes the face raise as the emblem shifts. One of the hearts grows larger until it fills the face and inside it an alien silhouette appears.

"Just what the heck is going on around here? What is that image of? What is the purpose of this watch?" She continues to question aloud. Holding the ring around the face she finds that rotating it changes the silhouette on the emblem.

"That must be for selection, but what is it selection for?" She finds that she can slightly move the watch face back down, figuring out that it must be to confirm the selection. Wanting to learn more about this strange device that fell from space, Gwen selects a silhouette, takes a deep breath and pushes the face back down as a fuchsia light emerges from the device.
