Lauren onstage

The cheerleaders finished their routine, cheering and shaking their pom poms as the crowd cheered. The captain started moving toward a microphone on the middle of the stage, but that was when Lauren acted. She rose from the bleachers, calmly walking up to the stage.

Her fellow students noticed her, looking her way in confusion. Lauren? What was she doing? A mummer went through the crowd as Lauren strut up to the microphone, brushing past the surprise football captain.

"Hi everyone!" Lauren said, her voice amplified as a hush fell over the confused crowd. "Did you enjoy that? Watching the cheerleaders jump around in their little outfits?"

The cheerleading squad glared at Lauren.

"Yes, that was cute," Lauren said towards them condescendingly. But, what if I told all of you I have something way better to show you?"
