Home again?

"So Harm... would you rather forget tonight or remember it?" Xander asked her.

A weird feeling over came her. A feeling... like... floating outside of her body. Was she disassociating? Had she only now been distracted by anything like her body coming down off an adrenaline high or her panic attack or any of the things she'd been thru this past night.

"Remember it." Harmony answered, pleased with herself that she could make herself answer.

"Okay." Xander said with a shake of his head.

Harmony felt herself return to her body. "What just happened?"

"Hmmm?" Xander asked as he continued walking down the street holding her aloft in a bridal carry.

"What just... you... all that... FIRE?" Harmony squeaked.

"World is weird." Xander answered. "Bad dudes are bad dudes."

"Right." Harmony bobbed her head. "That explains soooo much."

"Magic is real. Monsters too." Xander said casually.

Harmony just stared at him and blinked. She couldnt help the incredulous words that slipped out. "And you know this why?"

"Someone's got to fight the bad guys. That someone just happens to be me."

Harmony reached out with her hand and slowly turned Xander's head to face her. "Xander, I've known you since kindergarten... how the FUCK did you end up as the guy fighting monsters?"

"Magical mix up. Wasnt supposed to be me but... well, the chosen one was an idiot and when I saved their life I accidentally got their powers." Xander answered.

Harmony sighed and slumped into Xander's arms and just let herself enjoy the feel of being in a tru blu heroes arms. "Thank you."

"Hmmm?"

"Thanks for saving my life." Harmony clarified.

"Happy to be of service." Xander smiled at her.

"Where are we going?" Harmony asked after a few monutes walking in silence.

"Well, would you rather go home or go to another place that has more weird stuff?" Xander asked her.
