The hunt's aftermath

(So real quick, I am having severe computer problems that is making it more difficult to write or keep my work saved. I'm going to take a bit of a break and hopefully be able to relax or finally get some things taken care of. However until then I would love some advice or idea's as to where you'd like to see this go or who you'd like the focus to go towards. Clearly the next arc will involve Apocalypse however for afterwards I would love to hear your thoughts so by all means please share some comments.)

Going back home was a bit rougher than I'd expected, probably cause this didn't really FEEL like a victory. We'd succeeded against Sinister, destroyed every scrap of research in his lab so NOTHING could be used there... But despite ALL of that, it didn't feel like we'd really won. More like we survived, it was like feeling that there was WORSE still to go through... The feeling only got stronger when we realized we couldn't find the others. Everyone was fatigued and we wanted to make sure that removing the helmet was done safely, I was warned that Sinister liked to use traps whenever he could...

Well the OLD Sinister anyways. The others were still on edge with Sinister walking around, not fighting back or even attempting to so much as BLINK in an effort to escape. Magneto had wanted to kill him, Jenny and Sarah too, Even Penny didn't mind the idea of putting his head on a pole outside the door of his laboratory/bunker... It took the professor quite a bit of convincing for them to simply bind his arms in place and bring him with us. Magneto having made bindings out of metal to keep even a finger from moving seemed to help them with their concerns, despite me explaining he could not refuse an order given by me or someone I told him to obey.

Landing back in the hanger wasn't so bad, bringing Laura back to the Medical room wasn't fun though. Marie practically FLEW Helen down to the room to help however she could, with Jean following behind. I ordered Sinister to go with the Professor and help them to the best of his ability with anything they asked, after I'd been told by Charles to get some rest. I just hope that it'll go well and Laura will be free soon enough...

I got back to my room a bit later, going for a shower and collapsing onto my bed afterwards. I just laid there, feeling exhausted, feeling worried about where the others were, wondering how we'd find them or how we'd deal with Apocalypse, my mind refused to calm down so I could rest... I heard the door open and found my bed now being filled with another body. Kali pressing against me with only her underwear left on her, holding onto me as my body calmed down, her German accent filling my ears.

"Liebling, it's alright. We'll save the others too. The professor already has Sinister helping to safely remove the helmet. Once it's off and we're sure Laura is safe, Sinister is going to tell us where she was going and where the others are." She was trying to help me get my mind off it, but I found it more difficult than usual to relax and rest. "She's right you know. You really should try and relax." Turning my head I saw Emma stepping towards the bed, not for long though as she used her powers to help send me to sleep. As I faded into dreams I saw Kali pout at Emma about something, before feeling my body shift as Kali snuggled up to join me.

...By the time I woke up, morning had come around, Kali and Emma were both cuddled up to me with Marie laying on top. I ended up slowly trying to slip out only for Emma and Kali to wake up. I got a kiss from them both, by the time they pulled away, Marie was up as well and took their place. From there our little group separated as everyone had things to do, I got to enjoy a nice shower with Kali before heading off for breakfast. I was barely out in the hall when Jean's voice echoed in my head. "Zane? Come down to Medical right away...
