Vanessa reaches her arm out, and Tori helps her to her feet. She tries to say something, but Vanessa stops her by pulling her into a deep hug.

"V, are you ok?" Tori asks

"No, I'm not fine Tori, everything is terrible." Vanessa replies, squeezing Tori tighter before letting her go. "I can't take it anymore. No matter where I go, no matter what I do, people objectify me, people treat me horribly, and now, people keep trying to **** me. I can't take it anymore."

"But Vanessa," Tori starts, surprising Vanessa because Tori doesn't often call her by her full name, "you're the toughest person I know, and despite what happens you always find a way to pull through, and like you said they only tried, did they succeed?"

"N-no" Vanessa says.

"Well then from how I see it, you should be proud, you're tough as nails V!" Tori says, cheering Vanessa up.

She closed her eyes and takes a deep breath, and says

"Thank you Tori, I think today of all days I needed that.

They both stare at each other, then, without even realizing it was happening, they pull each other into a kiss. This was Vanessa's first, but she didn't feel bad about it, more than ever, she wanted it. The taste of Tori's lips and the feeling of her body made Vanessa feel a joy she couldn't describe, a joy she couldn't get enough of. She felt so warm, like all the bad things that had happened to her didn't matter, as long as she was in the embrace of her closest friend.

They pull apart, something Vanessa secretly didn't want to do, but Tori begins apologizing

"V, omg I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I-" Vanessa cuts her off

"Tori, you don't need to apologize, that was incredible, in fact..." Vanessa pulls Tori into another kiss, feeling just as good if not better than the first one. When finished, Vanessa pulls Tori into another hug and says

"I love you Tori, you're the best friend a girl could ask for."

"I love you too Vanessa." Tori replies, hugging Vanessa tightly.

Both go on with their normal school day, with no more incidents for Vanessa after the principal dealt with Patricia. Vanessa was extremely happy in a way she had never been before, and didn't even attempt to hide herself anymore. After her embrace with Tori, she began to accept herself, because she now knows there's someone else who does.
