Sarah offered you to go to her house to change

Sensing your discomfort, Sarah looked at you with a thoughtful expression. “You know, you probably don’t want to head home in that outfit, right?”

You nodded, grateful that she understood. “Yeah, I’m not sure if my mom is asleep yet. I can’t really risk it.”

Sarah smiled, a glimmer of mischief in her eyes. “Why don’t you come over to my place to change? I hope you brought your clothes along, or else I have some spare clothes you can borrow, and we’re not far from the office.”

The idea sounded perfect. Besides, it would be nice to see Mrs. Geoff again, you readily agreed, feeling a sense of relief. “That sounds great. Thanks, Sarah.”

After finishing your meals, the two of you paid the bill and left the cafe. The evening air was cool and refreshing as you walked with Sarah, chatting about random things — work, the cafe, and the meeting with Lisa Tran. It wasn’t long before you arrived at Sarah’s place.

You couldn’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and curiosity as you approached the front door, wondering if Mrs. Geoff would be home and what she might say this time.
