Something about freezing time

"Yea, it didn't work. It was supposed to freeze time but it didn't. Theoretically, it was perfect. It should have worked but it didn't. I threw it away. I guess we have to start over."

Todd continued gathering the trash. When he got to the trash compactor, he noticed something in one of the trash bags. Someone must have thrown a full cup of soda on it because it was drenched. Todd pulled out the time freeze device he thought Professor Argonaut had been talking about. It was about the size of a smart phone but it was more bulbous. The display did show a lot of time references such as clocks and calendars and the buttons looked like the type that a time freeze device would have.

Todd wiped the soda off of it and just for fun, set it to freeze time before putting it in his pocket. Then he picked up the trash bags to throw them into the trash compacter but as soon as he let go of them, they stopped in mid air. They didn't fall or fly into the trash compactor. They stayed right where they were when Todd let go.

Maybe the device had frozen time. Todd had to find out so he left the trash and wandered around. Sure enough, nothing and no one was moving. Even Todd's clothes did not move unless Todd moved them. He had worn a necklace so he lifted it but it did not fall. When Todd moved, his neck dragged the necklace through the air but it did not lay on his chest. Nothing moved unless Todd moved it.
