She told the whole office
Sarah was persistent. She leaned in, her voice coaxing. "Come on, Alex, you’d really make an impression. I already told the whole office about it. They’re excited to see how you’ll look."
Your heart skipped a beat, a mix of shock and disbelief washing over you. "You told the whole office?" you stammered, the words barely making it past your lips.
"Yeah," she replied, still smiling as if she hadn’t just dropped a bombshell on you. "Everyone’s looking forward to it. It’s going to be fun, trust me."
You were astonished, your mind racing as you tried to process what she’d just said. Wearing that outfit in front of the entire office? The thought made you feel a mix of anxiety and something else you couldn’t quite place. Sarah’s teasing and persuasion were relentless, but you weren’t sure if you could go through with it.
"You’ve got to be kidding me," you muttered, still trying to wrap your head around the idea.
But Sarah just laughed, giving you a playful nudge. "Relax, it’s all in good fun. You’ll be the talk of the office—in a good way, I promise."
You stared at the bag she was holding out to you, torn between your hesitation and the strange thrill of doing something so out of the ordinary.
