Lorenzo goes swimming

The Leisure center was a 15 minute walk from Lorenzo's house and he felt every bit of his embarssment with each step. He could feel the material of the shorts rubbing against his skin with each step and was thankful for the baggy nature of the tracksuit bottoms. Upon arrival Lorenzo paid for his session and went to the male changing rooms. He quickly stripped off his tracksuit and began to pull his swimming trunks out of his bag. He stopped in his tracks as he felt the soft material of the "boy shorts" that were still attached to his skin. He took them off and put on his trunks. He looked in the mirror and felt a pang of regret for having to hide his new found comfort. He knew that if he wore these around anyone else they would question his masculinity. He shrugged it off and made his way to the pool.

The sound of splashing and laughter filled the air as Lorenzo walked through the coridore and into the pool area. The smell of chlorine was strong and stung his eyes slightly. He walked down the steps into the cool water and took a moment to get accustomed to the temperature. He began to swim a few laps, feeling the water glide over his skin and the gentle tug of his trunks as he kicked through the water. He felt the muscles in his arms stretch and flex as he propelled himself through the water. Swimming had always been a place of solace for Lorenzo, a way to clear his head and escape from his troubles. Today was no different. The rush of the water filled his ears and the occasional splash from nearby children was a distant concern as he focused on his stroke.

After a few laps Lorenzo took a break at the side of the pool. He leaned his arms on the edge and felt the water drip down his face. He was lost in thought, thinking about the events of the day. The cigarette in the alley, the coffee spill, and the subsequent need to wear the "boy shorts". He felt a strange sense of liberation in the water. No one knew about his little secret and it was like he had shed a layer of himself that didn't quite fit anymore. He took a deep breath and pushed off the side, launching himself into a butterfly stroke. The water parted around him as he sliced through it, feeling the power in his shoulders and the stretch in his back.

When he finished his laps, Lorenzo climbed out of the pool and headed back to the changing room. He felt a bit of apprehension as he approached the locker he had used earlier. Would anyone question the "boy shorts"? He hoped not. As he opened his locker, he was greeted by the familiar smell of chlorine and wet towels. He quickly grabbed his gym bag and stepped into one of the cubicles. He toweled off and slipped the "boy shorts" back on under his swimming trunks. He knew he would have to get rid of the trunks before anyone saw, but for now, he could enjoy the feeling of the soft material against his skin.

Lorenzo pulled on his tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt, then packed his swimming gear back into the bag. He checked his reflection in the mirror. His hair was a mess from the water, but his eyes had a sparkle to them that wasn't there before. He felt... alive. He took a deep breath and stepped out of the changing room, his heart racing a little from the excitement of his secret. The corridor was mostly empty, just a few stragglers leaving the gym or heading to the showers. He walked swiftly to the exit, eager to get home and change back into something less... revealing.

As he stepped out into the cool evening air, Lorenzo felt a strange sense of confidence. The day had thrown him a few curveballs, but he had handled them all. He had even made a new friend, albeit an unlikely one in the homeless man. The "boy shorts" were a bit of a revelation too. He wondered if he could get away with wearing them more often, even under his regular clothes. He had to be careful, though. If anyone found out, it could be a disaster. He laughed to himself, thinking about the look on his friends' faces if they ever found out.
