Dev talks to Jessica

Dev sees Jessica leaving a conversation with an older gentleman and sees this as a good opportunity to further their earlier chat.

Cheerfully, Dev said: "Hey Jessica! It’s great to talk to you properly. I’ve heard you’re quite a force in the legal world. And I have to say, you’re even more impressive in person."

Jessica, laughing, responded: "Thanks, Akash! That’s a nice compliment. Having fun so far?"

"Well, I’m keen to meet more people in the legal world. I'm glad Susanne introduced me to you, I'm sure you know a lot of the ins and outs of the work we do."

"Well, I'm hpapy to discuss some trade secrets with you. You seem like the type of person that keep it discreet and intriguing after all." Jessica smiled flirtatiously.

"I can guarantee you I'll meet the SRA standards of confidentiality. So if you want to talk about knowing the right positions and making the most of them, I'm all ears."

"I see what you’re getting at. It’s all about strategic advantage, isn’t it? Knowing when and how to reveal your hand." Jessica laughed softly, pressing her arms together to press out her cleavage.

Dev caught a glance but returned quickly to Jessica's eyes, not wanting to lose this exchange. "That sounds fascinating, Jessica. I’m always up for discussing how to handle those sensitive topics in a more... intimate environment."

Jessica giggled. "Ahh, if I was maybe 20 years younger. But I think for now we should keep our trade secrets a secret."

Dev knew there was no way of convincing her outside of using his powers, but he didn't want to engage with those outside of work for now. He just finished the conversation by saying, "Well at least let me give you my business card, in case you change your mind and want to share theses delicate matters after all."

She laughed, looked at him reservedly and replied, "likewise if you ever want to reach me," Jessica said, handing him a note and a business card of her own, "it was very fun chatting with you Dev. maybe the next time I see you at these things, we can have a more thorough discussion." She winked at him.

Dev looked at her business card and the note, which he now saw contained her personal number.

Dev made a solid connection during the networking event, making this a successful Business Development. As a result, his rep at his firm was boosted.

He regrouped with Susanne, spoke with a few others and headed home for the night.
