The Former Head Priest

“Let us go you crazy psychos!” You cry out as you strain against the ropes binding you as the group gathered near you, and your sister as you see them moving towards the other two pillars and stayed there for a moment.

“What are you all doing- You’re not adding someone else are you?!” You asked, growing worried.

“This is to ensure the security of the church. To make sure this place doesn’t fall to the infected’s power.” Valorie answers to you. “Sacrifice must be made in order to persevere.”

You gritted your teeth, disgusted at hearing her talk about ‘sacrifice for security’ and all her excuses to justify her terrible deeds. You saw her group eventually move away from the pillars before you witness James and Margaret were tied to the pillars now.

“What the hell?!… you all went mad!” You cried out as Valorie approached the group as she and the others placed their hands together while some placed fresh paper around the large crevice while replacing old ones. You noticed the dark type symbol on the papers as it surrounded the crevice. You heard that paper talismans can hold special power that can nullify effects within an area.

“Arceus, please forgive us for what we have to do in order to survive and protect those who seek shelter here…” Valorie stated while you also noticed some were undoing some of the ropes that bind you all to the pole. Then you felt some psychic Pokemon lifting you all up and moved you to a platform with rope holding it up, connected to a crank. “Father Reynauld, please keep us safe with these four sacrifices...” she stated as a few psychics went to the crank and started turning it.

You feel your surroundings starting to move downward as the group starts to leave your field of vision as you squirm on the ground like a worm.

“Mmmrrhh…” you hear groaning as you turn and look to see your sister finally stirring as her eyes start to open. “R-Rai? You made it!” she says as her face sported a smile before she noticed your position. “Why are you all tied up?!” She then tried to move, but was unable to before realizing what happened to her. “Wh-Why am I tied up?!”

“Kate, what happened?!” You asked her, only to hear more groaning that comes from the male and female Nidoran who just woke up and saw the situation they are all in.

“What’s this?!” Margaret cried out, struggling hard. “Help! Someone help!”

“I heard someone called us to ask something, but then…” James stated before trying to bite into his rope bindings. “You guys are going to be so sorry when mom and dad get here!”

‘The bindings are tight!’ you thought as you wiggle against the binds, when you try to move your limbs, you felt a thump near your side. When you look, you see the edge of your tail. ‘It seems they missed my tail! That’s a relief…’ you thought as you try to use the tail to cut through the ropes, only to misaim to feel the iron tail slam onto your head. ‘Once I can get the aim right… ouch.’

You shake the daze just as you hear a cry coming from Margaret. You look towards her before you start to see a figure within the darkness, starting to approach the four of you. It comes closer until it steps out of the shadows, revealing the presence of a Slowking. With you laying on your belly and having to strain your head upwards, it was a tall figure, not including the large crown on its head. It was wearing the upper half of a head priest outfit, but the bottom wasn't there, must’ve lost it during the incident where it lost his mind as he looks at the four and roars out, frightening the kids. You see that the Slowking was quite padded at the waist area. A part of you started to wonder if that was before the infection, but with the purple void in his eyes and the memories of the numerous discarded bags in the room, it’s more likely they were sacrificed to him.

You gritted your teeth as you look at the binding that’s wrapped around your arm and swung your iron tail towards it, hitting the rope, and leaving a slight dent, but still intact. He tries again despite wincing when he hits himself as the infected Slowking approaches them slowly. The Slowking kept his gaze on your form as he slowly approached you. Just before you try to attempt to attack him with your electricity, the Slowking winces as you see pins on his right cheek.

You saw that James bards were extended, having attacked him in an effort to help you. “S-Stay away from him!” he cried out with his shaky voice.

“James, no!” you cried out, not wanting him to endanger his life like that. The Slowking growled as he shot a blast of water from his mouth, making James yelp from the impact before losing consciousness.

“James!” Margaret cried out in horror as each of them saw the Slowking rose their head and let out a roar. You saw water generating from behind him and everyone gasped at the sight. You tried to break free further, but you saw the wave rising further until it was over all of you. “E-Everyone brace yourselves!” You could do nothing but warn them before feeling the waves crash into you all.

The impact knocked you off the floor and into the wall. The pressure kept you all against the wall for the time being before feeling yourself slumping down back to the floor. The impact was rough, but you managed due to it being a water type attack. Afterwards, you managed to open your eyes to see that your sister and the Nido siblings are all out cold by the attack. You then noticed the Slowking looked and spotted the **** kids and started approaching them as you willed yourself out of your daze to resume striking the bindings, managing to snap the rope with the eighth iron tail, helping you get your arms out as you hastily attempted to undo the leg bindings as she whimpered before she screamed as the Slowking reached his arms towards one of them.

Fortunately, you tackled him away, making him stumble from the impact as he growled at you. You remain strong as you shake off the soreness from hitting yourself with Iron Tail as you push him away, getting into a stance.

“You’re not gonna get these kids!” You told him as you stared at the infected priest, ‘Even if I beat him, how do I get out of here?!’ You thought before shaking your head. ‘Focus on the current situation Rai!’ you thought before you charged towards the Slowking. He swung his tail towards you, but you jumped over it and struck him in the chest, making him roar in pain.

“The Raichu got free!” you heard a voice from above. “We need to stop him!”

“We can’t use our psychic powers due to the talismans. If we move them, the Slowking will escape!” another voice responded. “Use non attack moves- W-what are you all doing here?!” you heard the voice ask in confusion.

“Where Is Rai and the others?!” A voice belonging to Neku spoke out.

“Melanie?! Of course!” Valorie’s voice spoke out.

“What we’re doing is wrong, Valorie!” Melanie stated, “We must put an end to this.”

“Rai, Kate! Are you down there?! What about James and Margaret?!” Rachael cried out towards the crevice.

“We need help down here!” You called out before getting blasted by pulses of water, which soaked you, but you were still standing. You then started to hear sounds of struggle from above, giving you the impression that they’re now fighting the psychic types. It’s good that your companions are here, now you just need to hold him off until they can save you all.

You leap at him, swinging your tail at his head, but he back stepped away from it, making you stumble a bit before he grabs you, trying to **** you down.

You keep your balance as you see him open his mouth, whether to bite you or swallow your head, you’re not sure, but you have no intentions on letting that happen as you use one of your paws to keep him back before you manage to shake him off. You generate electricity through you as you prepare an…
