Mom's Dress
Dennis, still chuckling, entered back into the hall of Lauren's worst memories. That first door had been VERY entertaining... and it was one of many! What else was a bad memory for Lauren? He was excited to find out!
Dennis moved down to the next door. This one was labeled 'mom's dress'. Curiously, he opened the door and entered.
He found himself in a house. He guessed it must have been Lauren's family's. He looked around and saw Lauren as he knew her. She was posing in front of a mirror, whirling in front of a mirror with a smile. Her voice narrated this memory.
When I was young I wanted to impress the neighborhood girls so I put on one of my mother's fancy dresses. I didn't know it but this dress cost three hundred dollars.
Dennis didn't know women's fashion, but it was fancy dress, though too big for Lauren's short frame, and the bust seemed to be sagging.
"I look so good, like a big girl!" Lauren said in the mirror. Though she was her 20 year self she was living out the actions of her youth.
I was so smitten with the look I decided to go outside and show off...
