Dev attends the Networking Drinks

Dev waits until the end of the work day and, because he's gotten the go-ahead to attend the networking event, is able to clock out at the early time of 5:30pm. He and Susanne had planned to rendezvous at front door of Cummings & Ryder, and right on time, saw her there.

As this was a casual event, there was no need to dress up: just show up, maybe have a drink or two, and chat with the crowd. The two of them walked roughly 10 minutes to OilSkin Bar, chatting about their current workloads and mild gossip that was of interest to just one of them.

They finally arrive and it's a moderately fancy place, clearly trying to make itself look more common but still afford to charge the higher prices. Once they got settled, Susanne ran into someone she knew from her old firm, and Dev greeted them accordingly.

"Oh Susanne, it's been too long, you never come to these events anymore!" The lady said. She was a dark-skinned, middle-aged woman of straight black hair going below her shoulders.

"Well I'm here now, aren't I Jessica?" Susanne responded, excited to see her old friend again.

Jessica laughed and turned to Dev. "Ooh, I didn't realise your firm was hiring from a male model agency HAHAHA!"

Dev could only laugh along, not wanting to offend her. "Well, then Cummings wouldn't be the only firm hiring models," he winked.

"Ooh, he's a bold one HAHAHA!" Jessica's mouth opened wide to give the loudest, yet contagious laughter.

They get better acquainted with each other before Jessica wanders off to another friend at the bar.

Dev had a few options on how he spends the networking event, but first thing was to grab something to drink.
