Pop goes the weasel

The Four Susans were ****. Each of them contained in a **** field made of invisible light that kept them scrunched up in a fetal position. Giving them room to sit but not enough to act or make efforts to try and break free if they woke up. Susan Storm had her hands raised, maintaining the **** fields with relative ease while her husband and Ben looked over her brother. The man had saved the city when he attacked Electro at the peak of her absorption all the power from the city of New York and the state’s power grid. Reed feared the air burst would kill everyone in the city when Johnny had flown up and blasted her with his flames. Blinding everyone temporarily from the flash of light and caused ringing in their ears from the sonic boom echoing across town. A strange static charge filling the air that made everyone’s hair frizzle up. But apart from that the city was intact and everyone was alive.

Looking up, Susan caught sight of her brother and her variant falling to the ground like a pair of rocks, thankfully managing to catch them both with her powers so that they simply floated off the ground instead of impacting the pavement. Setting Electro to join the rest of her team being bottled up, Susan lowered her brother to the ground where Reed and Ben made sure he was alright. The city was spared Electro’s explosive rampage and with her the remaining members of the Sinister Susans were detained.

Looking up with blurry vision, Johnny groaned and winced when he felt a stoney hand gently pull him up to sit. Reed’s gloved hand reached for the man’s neck for a pulse, just as Johnny gently swatted his hand out of the way to look around.

“Did I get her?” He asked, looking past Ben’s shoulder over to see his sister with her four variants being held up in the air. “I guess I did.”

“Ya did great kid.” Smirked Ben, helping Johnny to his feet where he stumbled a bit and grinned when Ben helped prop him up on his feet and playfully punched him in the side with a chuckle. “How’d you do it?”

“Well…” Johnny smiled, scratching a finger over him chin. “I remembered a news article a few months ago say that solar flares screw up electrical equipment. And since I’m a flying solar flare I thought… You know…”

“You increased the temperature high enough around the both of you that the electrical field she generated collapse and dispersed all the city’s power as a raw static charge.” Reed slowly smiled, noticeably impressed. “Very clever.”

“Heh, heh… THAT’s my boy Johnny.” Ben cheered, giving Johnny a slap on the back and nearly sending the Human Torch flying before he was caught in his sister’s hug with one of her free arms, the other still maintaining the **** fields.

“I’m glad your alright Johnny.”

“Hmm, thanks sis, I… Ow!” Stepping back and rubbing his sore shoulder, Johnny found an accusing finger pointed back at his brow by his sister.

“Don’t freak me out like that again!”

Looking up to the sharp whine of jet engines from the SHIELD shuttle overhead decelerating and hovering to a stop five stories above their heads, Ben Grimm brought a hand over his eyes and chuckled.

“Bout time they showed up.”

“The entire city is in chaos Ben; they probably have their hands full.” Spoke up Reed as he waved the vessel down, watching it land in front of them with a gust of wind when the engines powered down. Now grounded, the loading ramp at the front of the shuttle opened with SHIELD agents storming out with weapons in hand surrounding the invisible bubbles that contained the four versions of Susan the Fantastic Four managed to take down. “At the very least they should be grateful we managed to…”

“ALL OF YOU GET ON THE GROUND WITH YOUR HANDS OVER YOUR HEAD! NOW!” Barked the lead SHIELD agent, pointing accusingly at a confused Reed Richards who raised his hands and an eyebrow at the response.

“Hey Bucko, show a little appreciation. We managed to get the problem under…”

“I SAID NOW!”

“At ease lieutenant.” Called out a voice from the SHIELD shuttle, where Reed could see Director Fury make his way down the ramp to look at the four levitating women being contained under Susan’s power. “Sorry about that Reed, getting humbled by four versions of your wife has made my men a little on edge.”

“I thought he was just new…” Called out Johnny, eyeing the one agent pointing a rifle at his face and eyeing the Human Torch like he was ready for anything. “Dude, seriously?”

“We can take it from here.” Fury called out with a snap of his fingers, where two agents behind him approached the contained women with a quartet of specialised collars. Letting the two approach the **** fields and bring them low enough for the two to put the collars over their necks. The rest of the agents advanced in and detained the four villainesses, seeing to it they were all cuffed as they were brought towards the shuttle.

“Where are you taking them?”

“That’s classified!” Barked one of the agents, placing Electro on a gurney as they returned to the shuttle’s interior, a waved hand from Fury had the agent continue while the director explained things.

“These ladies caused quite a bit of a mess out here. The police station and prison have their hands full, and the nuthouse has all their doors and windows blown out. The only place to put these ladies is in the Helicarrier’s brig until they can be contained and dealt with properly.”

“I want us to accompany you back to the Helicarrier.” Stated Reed. “I have questions for when they wake up.”

“So do I!” Fury declared, stepping onto the shuttle ramp as it began to close. “If you want to car pool, you can follow us.”
