Chapter 2 by bejjinks bejjinks

Who are you?

Scott, seeking justice on bullies

Scott wasn't a vengeful person. He didn't want to cause anyone to suffer, not even those that deserved it but he knew something needed to be done. The bullies would never learn unless they faced consequences of some kind.

He was walking down the road when he saw a pen on the ground. The way the pen was laying, he could understand that the pen might have been laying there for several years without anyone finding it. It wasn't hidden but it wasn't noticeable either. It was a fancy, old-fashioned, fountain pen with a peacock feather motif.

The moment Scott pulled the cap off, it was like the pen telepathically spoke to him. It said, "When you use this pen to write on something, that something becomes yours. Write one adjective and one noun and everyone will think the thing you wrote on is now that adjective and noun. For example, write red brick on a blue pillow and everyone will think that blue pillow is now your red brick. If you only want to affect a part of something, draw a border around that part using this pen before you write an adjective and noun inside that border. The ink in this pen is refillable and the magic will work even if the pen doesn't have any ink at all. If you write on something living, it won't feel pain or discomfort. Be careful because what you do with this pen may have unintended consequences. To undo the magic, wash the magic off with lye."

Scott immediately thought of the party happening tomorrow. Several of the bullies would be there. Even if they all didn't show up, Scott could severely reduce the bullying problem easily in one night. But should he test the pen first so he doesn't accidentally make a fool of himself at the party.

What should he do?
