A surprising person saves her

“Alright that’s enough.” Kazuichi said as he pulled Teruteru away, just in time for Mahiru and Hiyoko to enter the room. Once they saw the situation, they rushed over.

“What are you doing?” Teruteru asked.

“You’re going too far.” Kazuichi said with a shake of his head. “She’s still a person, you know.”

“Huh?” Mahiru asked in shock.

“Please! You have been staring just as much as I have!” Teruteru argued.

“Yes, but I’m doing just that, staring. I’m not getting in her personal space and even touching her without permission. I wouldn’t even do that to Miss Sonia!” He cried.

“You just don’t understand the love blooming in my heart,” Teruteru said.

“Yeah, yeah, just leave her alone, okay?” He asked. Teruteru looked like he wanted to talk back, but when he saw Hiyoko and Mahiru also glaring at him, he crossed his arms, sighed, and gave Chiaki one last look before he left the room, likely heading to the kitchen. All three let out a sigh of relief.

“What the hell was that?” Hiyoko tried to ask Kazuichi, but he just raised a hand, also gave Chiaki a glance—though one that didn’t give her the creeps like Teruteru—before he too left the room.

“Are you okay?” Mahiru asked as she came over with Hiyoko.

“I am,” she said. As much as she threatened Teruteru, she couldn’t seem to find the strength to actually strike him again. That bit of fear she felt whenever he was around kept holding her back. She wasn’t sure if it was the extra vulnerability she felt being nude or something else, but either way, it was getting in the way of her defending herself. “I’m happy Kazuichi helped.”

“Yeah, that was really weird though.” Hiyoko said. “I mean, he also can’t keep his eyes off you like a perv, yet he goes acting like some white knight.”

“Yeah, but he’s still not as bad as Teruteru.” Mahiru said. “Either way, as long as you’re okay, it’s fine.” Chiaki gave them a reassuring nod, and they went back to their seats to get started on lunch with the time they had left. Chiaki also resumed eating hers as well.

Though, the entire time, she simply stared at the door until the period ended.
