Try to Hit Aneni

You start to swing and try to hit her. She evades you effortlessly, bobbing her head, her footwork pristine and with no wasted motions. You continue to your best efforts, desperately trying to land a hit, but to no avail. You last about 3 minutes before you fall back down on the mat exhausted.

"See, you can't even last 10 minutes, much less land a hit on me," she says chuckling.

You just pant on the floor, trying to catch your breath. While you know there's no ill intentions, you can't stand that she's taunting you. But you know when to give up. As much as you would have love to earned that favor, you know when you're beaten.

"What was the point of this?" you ask her.

"One, i wanted to check out your movements and instincts. Two, i needed you to realize how crucial stamina really is in combat. It's best you find out directly rather than me just telling you."

"Alright, point proven. I need to get my stamina up before I attempt to land a hit on you."

She squints. "Even if you could last the whole 10 minutes with full energy, you weren't going to hit me Roy. You have too many wasted movements in your swings and footwork, I can read you like a book."

"So how are you going to teach me?" you ask.

She smirks, her eyes gleaming with a mix of challenge and encouragement. "First, we need to strip you down to the basics. Forget everything you think you know about fighting. We're starting from scratch."
