Thomas Rolls a 1.

Seth slides the die over to Thomas. She picks it up and prepares for her roll. As the last to roll in the round, she thinks about how she can recover and maintain a lead now. Her previous roll put her quite close to the current leaders, so a high roll wasn’t necessary to regain the lead. Thomas sees there is another unknown space ahead of her, gray. She needed a three to tie the lead and a four to land on gray. A three or higher was Thomas’ plan, but fate had other plans in store.

Thomas threw the die down to reveal only one.

“Man what the hell.”

“First time?” Seth asked.

“Oi, shut it cyberjunk. You may be on the chopping block pal.”

Thomas moved her piece forward and now sits with Ashton on the brown space as well.

Ashton holds out her hand for a handshake. “Welcome to the club.”

Thomas gladly shakes her hand and begins looking at targets again. However, Thomas didn’t like being the bad guy. Thomas didn’t like instigating or causing chaos like Ashton would. Not a good idea to try and pick enemies now when it’s only round two.

She reaches over and pulls the brown card up to read.

“Finally some competition,

For this battle of attrition.

Two options for you to choose,

To see who will be abused.

Pick a player you suspect,

A new effect they must collect.

Or roll once more for gain,

But suffer double the pain.”

“Aw, it's the same.”

“Oh well.”

Thomas pretends to appear to be thinking on who to choose for an additional punishment, but Thomas already has her mind made up. She wants that lead, and if she can roll again at the cost of only additional effects, she doesn't mind. That is, until Ashton chimes in.

“Who are you choosing?”

“Fuck off if you choose me again.” Seth demands.

Jersey and Yonah stay quiet, trying not to antagonize Thomas.

“Hmmmmm, I think I will choose…”
