Head to the Combat Facility

You head to the combat training facility, still mulling over the end of your interaction with Sammy. You're thoroughly confused by her abrupt departure despite your advances, especially considering what she confessed to you.

Determined to get some answers, you decide you'll ask her about it during your night session.

Arriving at the facility by 5 PM, you take in the sight of the large white square room. It's spacious, each side slightly larger than a basketball court, the pristine walls reflecting the overhead lights. The room's cleanliness and order provide a stark contrast to the turmoil in your mind.

As you step inside, you spot Aneni waiting for you. She's poised and ready, dressed in a sports bra and shorts, her athletic frame radiating strength and confidence. You walk up to her, pushing aside your thoughts about Sammy to focus on the task at hand.

"You're on time," she remarks, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Good. Let's not waste any of it."

You nod, feeling a surge of readiness. "What are you going to teach me today?"

"You have a lot to learn in a short amount of time," she begins, her tone serious. "For the next couple of days, you'll be learning the basics. Ideally, you should focus on basic fitness training for the first couple of months, especially since you just got out of cryosleep. However, I'm going to see if you can handle juggling some light combat training with your fitness regimen."

"Alright," you reply, determination hardening your voice. "Considering I'm the only man on this ship, I want to do more than just pull my own weight. I want to protect everyone, including you."

Aneni raises her eyebrows, then smirks. "That's the spirit. First, let's get you warmed up. I want you to do 20 laps around the facility. You see the white line? Make sure to stay on it."

"20 laps... How far is that?" you ask, a bit surprised.

"It's about 5 kilometers," she answers.

"And is there a time limit?" you inquire.

"The faster, the better," she says with a challenging smile. "But for now, there's no official time limit. In a couple of weeks, we might start setting some goals."
