The invite

Lauren sighs as she sits down in her chair with her cup of coffee. Megan and Carol are currently sitting nearby, lazily scrolling through their phones. It's a stress week for the three of the, Lauren had worked a lot of overtime hours in order to complete and prefect her project, while her daughters had been busy with back-to-back hard exams. All three of them really needed a moment like this to relax.

Before Lauren could sip her coffee, though, her phone starts ringing. Groaning, Lauren puts down her cup and answers the phones without checking who it is.

"What"

"Lauren?"

" Jason?" Laurens asks, perking up a bit. Carol and Megan both straighten a bit as try to look like they aren't paying attention.

Jason Richard is Lauren's ex-husband. Lauren meets Jason shortly after her humiliating situation. They run into each other while grocery shopping. Turns out he attends the same university as her and hadn't hear of embarrassment. The man was a geek, but an adorable one with an attractive body. One meeting turned into several, and then two of them became quick friends. Lauren had a crush on him since their first meeting, but she was too afraid to act on it.

One day, the two of them were hanging out at nearly empty gym, and Lauren went to shower. One of Lauren's bitter enemies had spotted and showed Jason some photos of her embarrassing situations. She then proceeded to grab Lauren and toss her out of the locker room, exposing the girl's body to him before taking off with her clothes. Lauren tearfully waited for Jason to make fun of her, but instead, he hugged and kissed. He admitted his feeling for her and comfortingly told her that she was beautiful and nothing to be ashamed of. Then, he stripped down to his underwear and clothed Lauren before taking her home. He even helped her get **** on her enemy the next. They immediately started dating after that, and 10 months later, they got married. Shortly after that, Lauren got pregnant and gave birth to Megan and Carol.

While having kids at such a young age wasn't Lauren's plans for life, she come to love them deeply, thanks to help from Jason. The four of them were a happy family for more than a decade. However, problems started appearing when the girls started puberty. Lauren, who was already really insecure about herself and feared losing Jason to a "real woman", began projecting on her children, causing them to develop their own insecurity. This led to multiple arguments and resulted in a pretty civil divorce when the girls were 16. Because Jason traveled a lot for work, Lauren got main custody of the girls. Lauren has no hatred to Jason and really wants to get back together with him. A wish the girls share.

"Hey, Lauren. It's good to hear from you."

"It's good to hear you, too. Though, is there a reason you are calling?"

"Actually, yes. I was wonder if you, the girls, and I could get together for an outing.

"An outing?"

"Yes. The four of us spending time together, catching up and having fun. What do you think?"

"That sounds great," Lauren replies, trying to hide her excitement. She would love to spend time with the love of her life.

"Good. I'll text you details of what we are doing tomorrow soon. Just get the girls and you ready. See you soon."

"See you soon," Lauren answers before quickly hanging up. She faces her daughters, who are already looking at her attentively.

"We're all going to hang out with Dad?" Carol asks hopefully and excitedly.

"Yes. He'll text details soon, and we'll meet him tomorrow for some fun," Lauren smiles joyfully.

"Sweet!" Megan cheers.
