Monday a.k.a. event day

Monday morning dawned bright and early. You woke up to the smell of fresh coffee and sizzling bacon wafting through the house. He quickly got out of bed, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves for the big day ahead. After washing up, he headed to the kitchen, where his mother, Alison, was already bustling around.

"Good morning, Alex," his mom greeted with a warm smile as she set a plate of pancakes on the table. "Big day today, huh?"

"Morning, Mom," You replied, taking a seat. "Yeah, it's going to be a busy one. The health fair is this afternoon."

Alison joined them at the table, pouring herself a cup of coffee. "You'll do great, Alex. You've been working so hard on this event."

"Thanks, Alison," You replied, appreciating the encouragement. "What about you two? What are your plans for the day?"

His mom sipped her coffee before replying. "I've got a few errands to run, and then I'll be meeting some friends for lunch."

Alison chimed in. "I'll be at the office most of the day, catching up on some paperwork. I'll probably swing by the gym later, too."

"Sounds like a full day for everyone," you said, taking a bite of his pancakes. "I'm feeling a bit nervous, to be honest. This is my first big event, and there's a lot riding on it."

His mom reached over and squeezed his hand reassuringly. "Just stay calm and focused, and everything will fall into place."

"Yeah," Alison added with a grin. "Remember to have fun with it, too. And if you need any last-minute tips on handling the crowd, you know where to find me."

You laughed, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thanks, both of you. I appreciate the support."

They continued their breakfast with light conversation, the familiar routine helping to calm your nerves slightly.
