An Entity Awakens

Something stirred in the Nothing.

The Nothing was absolute, it was a cold dark infinite expanse of blank space. There was no light, no warmth, no sound, no gravity, no time, no stimuli, or nothingness.

The Something which stirred could not be called a consciousness, not yet, as it did not have coherent thoughts. It's Self was scattered through the Nothingness.

With no time in this place it's impossible to say whether it was the past, present or future when gradually the nothingness was interrupted by a particle. A particle of light and sound illuminating the darkness, shining like a beacon. The Something reacted by instinct, defying logic and physics it squeezed a part of itself into the particle then found itself somewhere else.
