A New World Order
Federal District Government
Chapter 1

Prologue
The news hit me like a punch to the gut. I was sprawled on the couch, flipping through channels when the world as I knew it shattered. "The world as we know it has ceased to exist," the anchor droned on, his face grim. My eyes glued themselves to the screen as a map filled the frame, continents sliced and diced into unrecognizable "district zones." It felt like a bad sci-fi movie, borders dissolving like butter on a hot pan, entire histories erased with a bureaucratic stroke.
Gone were the days of Texas pride, of cheering for my home state. We were all just...Northern America Alpha now. A giant, faceless sprawl stretching from the steamy jungles of Panama to the tundra of the Arctic. The familiar comfort of being American, a citizen with a voice, was gone. Now, I was just another cog in the machine, a nameless inhabitant of this vast, impersonal super-state.
The first few months were a blur. Old laws vanished overnight, replaced by a dizzying stream of new ones. Every day felt like an obstacle course, learning new red tape, and navigating a completely different system. It was like starting life over, only this time, the world itself had been rearranged.
People around me were all over the place. Some saw this as a chance for a global utopia, a future of peace and unity. Others, like me, were lost, mourning the loss of our countries, and our cultures. We were adrift in a sea of uncertainty, clinging to any scrap of the familiar we could find.
The streets I used to walk, once teeming with local life, felt strangely muted. Buildings that once proudly displayed the stars and stripes now bore the cold, imposing emblem of the Federal District Government. A constant reminder of the new reality, a world reshaped by forces far outside our control.
But even in the chaos, there was a strange sense of unity. We were all in this together, guinea pigs in this grand social experiment. This new world order was here to stay, and we had to figure out how to live in it. To carve out a place for ourselves in this strange, unfamiliar landscape.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the transformed skyline with streaks of orange and purple, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held. This was our new reality, and I had to find a way to survive, to thrive, in this brave new world of Northern America Alpha. One day, one step at a time.
