Birthday Surprise !

Not all of the sponges thrown at Debbi hit their target by any means but enough of them did to leave her t-shirt wet through and to justify her decision to wear old clothes. She suspected that she would look like a contestant in a wet t-shirt competition when she was set free but for now, her breasts were more or less concealed behind the stocks. She was relieved and a little surprised that it did seem to simply be regular water that the sponges were being dipped into and nothing more unpleasant. But they did sting on the occasions when there was a direct hit on her face and her wet hair was beginning to drip into her eyes.

There were plenty of people, mainly male, happy to show off their throwing ability. Squinting through the drips, Debbi recognised a few from the company but also young men wanting to show off to their dates and fathers wanting to impress their families, who were all laughing at the fun. Aditty and Stew were running around collecting the sponges and replacing them in the tub of increasingly dirty water. The water was cold but fortunately for Debbi, the English summer weather had perked up and it was a nice afternoon.

Diane had been busily collecting the £1 coins from those eager for a chance to pelt Debbi. But after half an hour, she called a halt and moved up to the platform alongside Debbi. Debbi failed to notice Aditty moving the sign for the stall and going to collect a different one. She expected Diane to release her from the stocks but instead her nemesis began talking. "I think we can all agree that Debbi here has been a great sport." Cheery applause from those still gathered, even those disappointed that it seemed they had missed their chance to throw. "All this and it's her birthday too" Diane continued and she then began to lead the crowd in a rendition of 'Happy Birthday To You'. Debbi smiled wanly and wiggled her fingers in appreciation.

But Diane hadn't finished. "Now I'm sure you'll all agree that it wouldn't be a proper birthday without a birthday surprise !"

Debbi's eyes widened. A surprise ? She didn't like surprises, at least not where Diane was concerned. And she certainly wasn't going to like this one !
