A Text With Twilight

Twilight looked over the next response to her survey as she jotted down that this one as well thought that dragons were naturally aggressive, which was proved to be the majority, even here in Ponyville. It was a bit annoying to say the least, that such a common belief turned out to be so wrong. Sure, she herself had seen many aggressive dragons, but over the last few years, she had learned their hot tempers weren’t natural. Many of them were just teenagers with things they thought they needed to hide, or were otherwise influenced by their ruler.

Which sucked for her! Just as she began to really understand why she loved stories about dragons so much, was the time she realized they weren’t based on reality! No dragon was going to sweep her off her hooves and steal her away to a cave forever…

Twilight groaned as she realized she was starting to daydream again. She just had to accept what the real dragons were, especially if she wanted to have a chance with one of them in the future. Sure, maybe she would find a dragon who is just aggressive by their nature, but she doubted she would be so lucky.

She leaned back, but as she did so her phone buzzed. Pulling it out, it turned out not to be any of her friends, but instead Spike? Why in Equestria would he not just come down and talk to her?

[S: Twilight, I have something I need to tell you. When I was getting gems in the Everfree forest, I found a magical cave called the ‘Root of Honesty’]

Twilight blinked a few times reading that, trying to make sense of what that meant. Did he stumble onto the Tree of Harmony and find a way below it? And how did he know a name for it already?

[T: Ok? Why did you send me a text for that though? I have so many questions right now]

[S: Didn’t send it just for that, I just was going to wait for you to see it first. There, I got a weird power. Any question I ask is answered yes!]

A snicker escaped her lips as she read that. This all made more sense now, Spike was just pranking her! Maybe Spike got Discord involved with this one to make this work, and he was going to use the opportunity to gorge himself on Ice Cream again. But, this didn’t sound too bad, so she might as well play along.

[T: Really? How is that possible?]

[S: I’m not really sure. It just does. I filled my bag with gems in less than a second with it.]

Now that as a bit of a surprise, making ponies **** to agree with you should have been able to do that. She slowly looked over at his bag, and opened it up, revealing the many, many gems inside of it. “Huh, guess he wasn’t lying about that…” Her looked back at her phone, now more then ever wanting to know just what Spike was playing at.

[T: Sounds pretty impressive, can I see it in action?]

Twilight smirked, knowing Spike would be coming down any moment to continue his prank, and who knows, maybe she would play along. It’s not often he is the one doing these types of things. Plus, she had plenty of questions about how he got so many gems and where this prank idea even came from.

After a few seconds, she noticed that from the corner of her eye, something was off. “Oh? Is that you Discord?” She teased, but as she turned, she noticed something else instead of the shimmer of a nearly invisible draconequus. She gasped as all her paperwork was filled out, in her own writing? She picked up a bunch of them, and her paper to note them all down, and it truly seemed to be all her own work, even having some scribbled notes about how she wished the one about Dragons preferring Ponies to other Dragons was true! Discord wouldn’t know that, or he would have teased her about it years ago!

Her phone buzzed again, and she gulped as she grabbed it. Did Spike know she was into Dragons?

[S: So, are you happy to have some more free time Twi?]

She was stunned. Was that all he was going to say? Did he really not know? But time spells were so noticeable, even discord couldn’t pull one like this without her noticing!

[T: … How is all my paperwork done Spike?]

[S: I asked Did Twilight get all her paperwork done for today and will she notice it? And like I said, the answer became yes.]

Twilight was shocked as she took in his words. So, he really could do that? But how? That sort of magic was at least Discords level, but more than likely far above him. Could he really ask anything, and change the answer? She looked at the paper again, as she felt a twinge of jealousy. If she had found it, she could have her fantasies work out perfectly…

Well… Maybe she still could? After all, Spike was telling her about this. If he had a handle on this, he would either not tell anyone, or tell all of her friends at one time. Yet, he was telling her, and her alone… He didn’t know what to do with this!

Twilight sat up a little, realizing this fact. A dragon with so much power, and he didn’t know what to do with it! She could help him! Cause she was sure he would love being a much more assertive Dragon, and Celestia knows she would too~
