An hour later

An hour passes since you’ve had the house to yourself and not much has changed. You’ve still got your butt firmly planted to the couch as you eat chips and watch TV. From your left side your mobile phone screen lights up, drawing your attention.

Looking down you see it is a message from Paige. Your heart skips a beat in anticipation for what it might be, after all she’s supposed to be hanging out with Amy so you doubt it’s anything too bad. Opening the message it reads: “you busy?”

Slightly disappointed you reply back straight away “just hanging out at home watching TV. Why? Is everything alright?”. Your message sits there for a moment, hanging in the air of anticipation as you wait to see the small ‘read’ notification to your message. A moment later Paige responds: “yeah everything is fine. Amy ran into an old friend so we ended up cutting our hangout short. Thought you might like to see what I’m doing instead?”

Gulping hard, your mind races at what Paige might be doing, excited to know despite the guilty feeling you have for chatting with your girlfriend’s friend like this. You reply back with a quick “yes” before instinctively putting your free hand down your pants. A moment later your phone starts vibrating as you see that Paige is attempting to FaceTime you.
