"Honey," Grace lowered her voice a bit, "I've been thinking, based on what your dad said earlier."
"Wait..." Jessica started piecing everything together, "Dad told you...?"
"Yes, dear, everything. He was really upset, but I cooled him down. I think it's wonderful you want to show your body off like that!"
"I don't want to show my body off like that!" Jessica started hyperventilating, "It's all a bunch of accidents, and I've had the worst day of my li-"
"Honey," Grace grabbed Jessica's shoulders, shushing her, "It's okay, we've all been there. I was like you until I streaked for the first time in college. Trust me, you'll love showing off."
"No," Jessica tried to calm her breathing down, "this is all one big misunderstanding. My dress got caught-"
"Jessica," Grace cut her daughter off again, this time with more authority, "your father told me everything about what you said, and you know I don't believe it."
"It's true!" Jessica protested yet again.
"Jessica, even if it were true, that's just God telling you something!" Grace countered, "Now tell me, has today been boring?"
"Look..." Jessica tried to counter again.
"Yes or no, dear?"
"N-no..." Jessica looked down at the floor, "but I don't know what you're saying."
"I'm saying, Jessica, that I'll drive you to school,"
"Thank you-"
"but," Grace cut her off again, "you'll be riding in your birthday suit and giving me the clothes you are wearing. Depending on how everything goes, I might give them back to you when we get to school."
"Absolutely not," Jessica scoffed, "that is wholly inappropriate. I've been naked at school already, and I can't be naked again with everyone around me."
"Young lady," Grace started getting colder, "that is an order. If you want me to drive you, you can either give me your clothes or I will take them. Now, no dilly-dallying, there's only 20 minutes left of your homeroom. Your call!"
"I'm not getting naked," Jessica retorted with whatever defiance she could muster.
