What does he do now?
Track down the Customers
Daniel turned away from the collection of items on his floor, walking over to his kitchen table. There, on the spotless surface was the copy of the pawn shop logbook the old clerk had provided him. On it was a list of the items from the briefcase that were sold as well as the address and contact info of the people who bought them. He looked down the list, making note of the names.

Daniel wondered if he should give these people a call first before visiting, but then quickly abandoned that idea. If these people had the items, then they would most likely know all about the powers it gave them. There was no way they would give it up, not even for a cop. He had to catch them by surprise, shake them off their game; hopefully this would allow them to slip up and he would be able to retrieve the item that they had.
He turned his attention towards the items on his floor, frowning slightly and wondering what to do with them. Because one of the pawnshop items was neutralizing the powers of the others, he couldn't take any of them with him. But he couldn't leave them here, out in the open. Although he lived in a decent neighborhood, he knew crime could strike at any time. He did not want any burglar breaking into his apartment to come across such dangerous items.
The detective quickly stuffed the pawn shop items back into the briefcase, then took it over into his closet. Inside, aside from his clothing, was a large gun safe that contained all his firearms. It had a combination lock and thick steel door, so the briefcase and its items would most likely be safest in there. He knew that it wouldn't keep out a determined thief, but your regular run-of-the-mill smash and grab thug would find it too much trouble to break into. Daniel opened the safe and moved his guns around to make room. He eventually managed to stuff the large suitcase in between his shotgun and an M14 he had bought during his time in the Navy.
After sealing up the safe, Daniel went back into his living room and picked up the evidence box containing the items retrieved from Jewel. He took out the map, along with the plane ticket, paperclip, and rubber band. These items were not a mystery as he knew what they did. The box he would keep under his bed, as the items were innocuous enough not to catch the attention of thieves.
He wrapped the rubber band around his wrist, stuck the ticket, map and paperclip into jacket pocket, then left the apartment. He had some items to hunt down.
Who does he go see first?
