Finality

Time moves, as it tends to do.

Shortly after the birth of the twins, you hold a small ceremony for Emi and Lili. Though technically not official, the smiles on their faces as you slip the ring on their fingers says all you need to know. And the celebration afterwards is just as exciting as you’ve come to expect from the two Hybrids.

Mark and Alice do something similar, though Alice is now heavily pregnant. The fox girl insisted, however, claiming she didn’t want to wait any longer. The two of them are another example of how good life can turn out, and you’re glad to be sharing the mansion with them.

It’s only a couple months later when Alice gives birth. Sure enough, the baby girl has fox ears and a tail. Alice names her Lisa, and the three of them are adorable together.

Even extravagance can become mundane if it’s in your daily life. Even with two families plus the staff, the mansion feels enormous and empty. It’s obvious that it was built with grand plans that never came to fruition. However, it seems that with the passing of the torch to you, things might change.

It takes time, but eventually there’s a couple new arrivals. Though hesitant at first, runaways and their saviors start to arrive. They have stories much like yours, though generally with less drama. First one, then several more arrive, drawn by rumors and hopes. You gladly take them in, and soon the halls don’t seem so empty.

As much as with your personal life, you get great satisfaction with seeing the relief and happiness on their faces. Even with the new arrivals, it never gets crowded, and the shared experiences make for fast friends. And as time goes on, you realize that this was where you were meant to be all along.

Your story isn’t ending, it’s just changing. And there’s so much left to see.
