"I'm still pretty jet lagged, maybe it's better if we just order in."
Beth swallowed a tiny nugget of disappointment and nodded. "Sure thing."
She grabbed the laptop to punch out a delivery order and less than forty minutes later, they were enjoying pizza, wings, beer and a movie on Netflix.
By the time Brian arrived home at 9:00, the two of them were dozing against each other as the television flickered, and Beth groggily rose to give Brian a hug and a kiss and tell him about their evening. Kyle woke up as well, giving his brother a hug, and then they chatted for a few minutes. Beth wasn't sure, but she thought that they were a bit more awkward around each other than she expected from the way Brian always talked about his brother.
Brian had some pizza and wings, and around 10:15 pm, Kyle began to drift away again, so Beth and Brian headed upstairs to let him sleep.
