Activities Ashore, Part 2

To those of you who do not know, I have an ongoing thread on my story called Prism Bay, which is a story where the characters of Amethyst Shore, At the Cabin, Honey Hollow, Iron Falls, Redwater, and Big Lake all live in the same city. The thread is shaping up quite nicely, so I figured I’d link it here for those of you who aren’t aware of it.

———

Isabelle Holland fidgeted with her phone as she walked through Shoreline, her eyes scanning the spacious arcade room looking for her cousin Jace. Calling him her cousin always felt weird. He was her cousin, of course, but cousin also just sounded kind of… distant. Brother or sister was close and personal, someone you lived with. Cousin? That was just somebody in the world who happened to be related to you.

And that wasn’t who Jace was to her, he was much more than that. Jace and Izzy had had a rapport growing up that was more like siblings than anything else. Izzy had never had a father, or a brother, and Jace was somebody she ended up relying on for everything. She had a father of course, but he had died while her mother Tessa was pregnant, so Isabelle had never met him.

Tessa had never remarried either, or even done any serious dating. She always said that she’d already found her soulmate, but he was dead now. Izzy had always found that people said sorry a lot when they found out about her father, but she didn’t know why they were sorry, really. She had never known her father, and it was so much easier to lose somebody you never knew than somebody you did. Izzy had always thought that Skylar had it way worse. Her and Sam had both lost their father when they were six or seven, Izzy was pretty sure, so they’d had a few years with him. They’d gotten to know Jonathan Wayne. Izzy had never met her father, Marshall Tucker. Her mom didn’t even have his last name, and neither did Izzy.

Tessa never wanted to talk about Marshall that much, and so Izzy and her older sister Alexis didn’t know much about him. Alexis had had a few years with their father, but not many. She didn’t remember hardly anything about him, but at least she had something.

These thoughts were running through her head as she fidgeted with her phone, and for a reason. She liked hanging out with Jace, of course, but she had a reason for needing to find him so badly. She just hoped he would understand. If not, well, there were other options, but Izzy knew which one she liked best, and it was Jace.

Her phone buzzed in her grasp, and she saw Mom written on the screen, but Isabelle set her jaw and shoved the phone back into her pocket. She didn’t want sympathies, she hated sympathies. Maybe that was why she and Skylar were best friends. Because both of them knew how frustrating it was to have people always feeling pity for you.

Isabelle Holland was not a woman to be pitied.

Finally, her eyes did land on a familiar blonde-haired young man, but the big smile on his face gave her pause. He was leaned forwards slightly, intensely focused on the air hockey machine in front of him, and his beautiful opponent.

Brooklyn Robinson wore a tied up yellow tank top and some black yoga pants, both of which hugged her incredible assets very very well. She was also beaming, but Izzy noticed she was paying much more attention to Jace than to the puck that kept slipping past her defense. Izzy knew exactly how good at air hockey Jace was, she’d spent hours playing with him when they were kids. Izzy suddenly hated seeing Brooklyn in her spot. She was Jace’s air hockey partner, not Brooklyn, and the fact that Jace was doing it with Brooklyn now, looking like the happiest guy alive... it just hurt.

But what guy wouldn’t look like that with Brooklyn Robinson gazing at him that way? Izzy wasn't sure if Brooklyn didn't notice or just didn't care, but a great number of the boys at school were very attracted to the voluptuous brunette cheerleader. Brooklyn wasn't dumb, she definitely knew what her body was like, but it was like- well, it was like Brooklyn only had eyes for Jace.

Isabelle was halfway through turning around to let Jace have his happy moment alone with Brooklyn when his teal eyes met her blue ones, and he was suddenly not looking at Brooklyn. It was her that he was grinning at. For some reason, those teal eyes always made her heart flutter, which was just seven kinds of wrong. He was her cousin, closer than, really. It was something she'd always tried to bury, a secret so dark that even Skylar didn't know it. Maybe she guessed, but Isabelle was never going to put words to it. She couldn't ever put words to it, or he'd think she was gross and never talk to her again. They were family, and family didn't do things like that.

But when Jace waved her over, putting down his air hockey paddle to hold out his arms for a hug... Izzy couldn't resist jumping into those arms, loving how his muscled arms wrapped around her tight, fit body. Her and Jace had spent a lot of afternoons after school working out together. Jace was trying to get some muscle for the football team, and Izzy had to stay in shape for volleyball. It had been too easy for them to link up and become exercise buddies. That was her alone time with Jace, and she cherished it. Skylar or Dana would come along sometimes, too, but they were cheerleaders, and both seemed to prefer gymnastics to sports. Neither of those girls wanted to do weights and running like Isabelle and Jace did.

They hadn't done it in a while, unfortunately, maybe because of the invisible gap between them recently. Izzy had no clue why, but her and Jace had just kind of faded off near the end of junior year. There was no reason, at least not one that Isabelle knew of, it had just been a natural drift. But with Skylar basically on house arrest these past three weeks, Izzy had fallen right back into her old patterns with Jace... including the stupid fluttering heart and feverish skin and that utter inescapable longing. Maybe that was why they'd drifted apart. Maybe Izzy had unconsciously needed some distance, to see if it helped the... the thing she couldn't put to words. It very clearly had not worked. His arms around her, her body pressed to his... it sent the same taboo feelings coursing through her.

"You putting your skill to work?" Isabelle asked Jace, trying so hard to be casual.

"I found a new apprentice." Jace grinned, gesturing to Brooklyn, who had been standing there with a slight pout on her face until Jace was looking at her again, when her lips had seemingly unconsciously lifted into a smile. Been there, sister. Isabelle thought glumly to herself.

"I'm eager to learn. Uh, Dana always beats me at this." Brooklyn nodded a little too quickly.

"A former student of mine." Jace said, stroking an imaginary beard.

"Alright, cool it, Mr. Miyagi." Isabelle snorted. "I bet I could still take you."

"I bet you couldn't." Jace grinned, looking down at her. Izzy's feelings were a pulsing mess right now, aching in tune to the flutter in her chest.

"I'll have to prove it to you another time. You keep teaching Brooklyn." Isabelle stepped back, shaking her head. "But, uh, I do need to talk to you sometime today. It's pretty important."

"Do you want to talk now?" Jace asked, and behind his head, Isabelle saw Brooklyn's face turn worried.

"No, not now. Finish your lessons with Brooklyn, I'll be around." Isabelle said, and she turned and walked away.

She couldn't bear to see Jace fall any more in love with Brooklyn than he already was.

———

Daisy Holland leaned back in a chair at the bowling alley, watching intently as her father grabbed his bowling ball and approached the lane. He lined up the shot, pulled his hand back, and rolled it down the lane right down the middle.

“Woo!” Daisy cheered, clapping her hands as eight of the pins went down, leaving just the two on opposite edges. Jeremiah turned around, shaking his head.

“You could at least pretend to feel bad.” Jeremiah chuckled ruefully, glancing up at the scoreboard. Five frames in, Daisy was absolutely demolishing him.

“Sorry, Daddy.” Daisy smirked, standing up and walking over to wrap her arms around him and squeeze. “I feel so bad for you setting up such an impossible shot.”

“That’s worse, you know, hon.” Jeremiah said, and Daisy gasped.

“Is it?”

“Let go of me, I need to try and at least hit one of these.” Jeremiah chuckled, and Daisy laughed. She rose up on her toes to give her father a kiss on the cheek.

“You can do it!” she said enthusiastically. Jeremiah grabbed his ball, lined it up, and rolled it down the lane.

“Field goal!” Daisy cheered, and Jeremiah turned around with a sigh.

“Oh, sorry. Old cheerleader habits?” Daisy shrugged, grinning.

“You are far too competitive for your own good.” Jeremiah said, and Daisy smirked.

“Not my fault you can’t keep up, Daddy.” Daisy winked, and she swung her hips very intentionally as she walked to grab her own bowling ball. She could feel her father’s gaze on her, and she couldn’t resist turning her head and winking at him, giving her ass a little wiggle.

Daisy approached the line, and went to line up the shot, when suddenly she felt hands at her hips.

“You think you’ve got this shot?” Jeremiah’s voice whispered in her ear, and a thrill of excitement went through Daisy as she felt her father’s stiff cock pressing into her curvaceous ass.

“Mmm, I think so, Daddy. It’s a hard one, but I can handle it.” Daisy said in a husky, playful voice. Jeremiah’s bulge throbbed at her words, and she playfully bumped him with her ass.

“Back off, Daddy. I need to focus.” Daisy said, smirking at him. Jeremiah nodded, and he took a few steps back as Daisy lined up her shot and near effortlessly threw a strike. She’d spent plenty of afternoons here with Ariel after school back in high school. It had been a while, but her skills were rushing back.

Daisy turned around, beaming, and she slipped her arms around her father’s neck as his arms encircled her waist, tugging her close.

“Good throw.” Jeremiah said, squeezing her body close. His bulge pressed against her stomach, and her very large, round, tan, bouncy breasts were squashed against his chest. Father and daughter embraced tightly, and Daisy relished the feeling.

One of Jeremiah’s hands gave her ass a small, tentative squeeze, and she looked at him with a smirk.

“Is that all you’ve got?” she teased, words dripping naughtily from her lips. Jeremiah’s hands cupped her cheeks from below, giving her ass two big meaty squeezes, and Daisy let out a low groan, then a yelp as he gave her ass a firm spank.

“We’re in public right now.. maybe we can pick this back up later on.” Jeremiah murmured.

“Somewhere more private.” Daisy agreed eagerly. Jeremiah nodded.

“Your turn, Daddy.” Daisy pointed over her shoulder at the lane, and Jeremiah nodded.

“R-right.” he cleared his throat, and went to pick up his bowling ball. Daisy went back to her seat, ignoring some of the looks being thrown her way by people on neighboring lanes, and sat back down, proudly admiring the bulge she’d created in her father’s shorts.

Boys went crazy over Daisy Holland for a reason.

———

Danielle Holland was wandering the Shoreline building looking for her group. As usual, the second they got through the door, everybody scattered a million different directions. She was fairly certain her son was in the arcade somewhere, but she hadn’t found him. She had gone next to the sports courts, figuring her niece Isabelle would be out there, but that also turned up nothing.

The hardest part was that they also didn’t stay still, so for all Danielle knew, they were basically all moving in a big circle. She had a half mind to text somebody, but didn’t want to interrupt them. She wasn’t a micromanaging mother, not even slightly, but she still didn’t like wandering alone through the building.

It was boring, frankly. Danielle paused at a fairly open part of the arcade and looked around, but she couldn’t spot any of the teenagers that were part of her group. Then, much to her surprise, arms wrapped around her from behind. She jumped, and turned around in surprise, only to see a familiar grin on a familiar face.

“Hey, Mrs. Holland.” Evan Simmons smiled.

“Jeez, Evan. You could have just said hi like a normal person.” Danielle laughed. “What are you doing here?”

“Well, my friend Charlie invited some guys from the football team out here, but then I spotted my sexiest neighbor and had to come say hello.” Evan grinned, giving Dani’s hips a squeeze.

“Oh, your sexiest neighbor? Well, that’s quite a compliment. There’s some very attractive ladies in the compound.” Dani laughed.

“Did I stutter?” Evan raised an eyebrow. “You are by far my sexiest neighbor.”

Danielle smirked. “Well, it’s nice to know your opinion of me.”

“Is it that surprising?” Evan grinned. “I mean… you’ve sat naked in my lap after that truth or dare game… you’ve blown me, wrapping those lips around my c-”

Danielle lifted a hand to cover his mouth, her eyes dancing, a low chuckle coming from her mouth. “Not here, stud.”

“We have a room, you know. Charlie rented one of the party rooms… if you wanted to come.” Evan offered.

“Come hang out with a bunch of teenaged boys?” Danielle asked skeptically.

“Nah, they’re all out playing laser tag. It’ll be empty.” Evan grinned. Danielle bit her lip, looking Evan up and down, and then she nodded.

“Sure. I can’t find the rest of my group anyway.” Danielle shrugged.

“Come on, then.” Evan urged, and slid his hand into hers. Danielle laughed softly to herself as the boy led her hand in hand through the arcade, headed out towards the exit, but then he swung a left and walked down a hallway of private party rooms, taking a left into one that had a bunch of high school seniors sitting around on the couches, watching a football game.

“What are you guys doing here?” Evan asked in surprise. “Thought you were headed out to laser tag.”

“The game got good.” one of the boys laughed with a shrug.

“Damn, who’s this?” grinned one boy, with dark skin and a confident smirk. He wore a green T-shirt and some exercise shorts.

“Did you get a hooker?!” exclaimed a boy, with brown hair, gray eyes, and a kind of pervy slimy look to him.

“Sorry boys, I’m not a hooker.” Dani laughed, rather amused.

“A stripper?” asked the same boy.

“Not anymore.” Dani winked at him. His mouth fell open.

“Danielle Holland.” Dani introduced herself, her gaze sweeping over the assembled crowd. She recognized Charlie Tower easily. He was the boy that Jace had replaced as quarterback, which alone made him hard to forget, but he was also the spitting image of his father Nathaniel Tower.

Nathaniel had been an overachieving academic who ruined the atmosphere of every room he stepped into, always absolutely determined to make sure everybody knew that he thought he was the smartest one in the room. He did own Tower Laboratories now, but it had been his father’s business before him, it wasn’t like he’d worked hard to build the company or anything. Charlie seemed almost the opposite to his father, frankly.

He seemed no more friendly than his father, but he was athletic and muscular, with a laid back demeanor. Something in his eyes was Nathaniel to a T though. Some kind of haughty ‘I’m better than you’ stare. She didn’t find it hard to guess why Jace hated him.

Most of the other boys were mysteries to her, though she recognized a few of them.

The first was the slimy, pervy kind of guy, and Dani had plenty of experience with that kind of guy. He was handsome, but he was slimy, she could just tell. Brown hair, gray eyes, and a hungry leer looking at her. Didn’t make him any less fun to tease, though.

The next guy looked like a good guy, actually. He was big, bigger than any of the boys in the room, with a polite smile. She knew who he was, Drake Malone, an intimidating guy who was really sweet and polite. She knew his mother back in the day, Kendra, and it was no surprise that Drake had inherited Kendra’s kindness.

Then there was Lucas Lake, who’d been very close with Jace in middle school. He’d been in her house a lot those days, but not much at all anymore. She’d seen Jace and Lucas on the field though, and they were very clearly still friends. Lucas had dark brown hair and sky blue eyes. He was a running back on the team, Dani knew.

“Lucas! Hi!” Danielle smiled, and she went up to him, leaning down to hug him, rather tightly too. She felt his hand awkwardly come up to pat her back, making her smile. “It’s been too long.” she smiled at her son’s old friend, kissing him on the cheek.

“Y-yeah, it has, Mrs. Holland.” Lucas said, flushing lightly.

She knew the boy next to Lucas, too. Ryan Anderson, a tall, lean boy with a small dark brown Afro. His parents were friends of hers, too, Faith and Ben Anderson. Faith had been a cheerleader alongside Dani, and the two girls had been good friends. She didn’t know too much about Ben, just that that he was a photographer now for the nearby Grayson Global branch.

“Charlie Tower.” Charlie introduced himself, and Dani gave him a curt nod.

“I know. I knew your father, too.” Danielle said.

“Oh, that’s right. You used to date, didn’t you?” Charlie asked, and Dani was so surprised she couldn’t hold back a laugh.

“Nathaniel Tower? My boyfriend? Oh, definitely not. I think he lied to you, kid, he didn’t date anybody in high school.” Danielle laughed.

Charlie looked very surprised at that information, so Nathaniel really must have gone around telling his son he’d dated Dani. She suppose ‘used to date the hot cheer captain’ sounded better than ‘didn’t date anybody because no girl liked him’.

The slimy guy laughed. “Guess your dad wasn’t cool like you thought. I’m Nolan Platt. Pleasure to meet you.”

He gave Danielle what she assumed must be his best attempt at a charming smile, but it did nothing to alleviate the sliminess.

“Uh huh. Pleasure.” Dani said, unimpressed.

“John McLean, but everyone calls me JM. You’re Jace’s mom?” asked the confident dark-skinned boy, the one who’d spoken when she first walked in.

“Yep. It’s nice to get to know his teammates, more than just numbers on the field.” Dani nodded.

“Nice to know you’re in the stands cheering us on.” JM grinned at her.

“Oh, definitely.” Dani smirked. “I used to be cheer captain, so I’m very… experienced.”

“Uh huh.” JM’s grin grew wider.

“You wanna stay and watch the game, or do you wanna go somewhere else?” Evan asked her, and Dani jolted. He’d been uncharacteristically quiet, she’d nearly forgotten he was there. Usually he was the loudest one in the room.

“Doesn’t matter to me.” Danielle shrugged. Evan nodded, and gestured to the door, but JM spoke up.

“You know, Mrs. Holland, if you want to meet the team, you can swing by the locker room any game. We’d all be happy to see you there.” JM nodded, looking at his teammates.

“For sure.” Nolan chimed in a little too eagerly.

“You would definitely be welcome.” Charlie nodded, and Dani watched as the teen’s eyes slid up and down her body. All the teens were ogling her, she knew, save for Lucas. Ryan was trying to hide it, but she could tell.

“Maybe I’ll stop by, boys.” Dani gave the football players a teasing grin, and then she walked towards the exit, letting Evan lead her away.

“Dude, she was so fucking hot!” Danielle heard one of the boys groan. Nolan, she thought.

“She’s married!” Lucas spoke up to defend her.

“And?”

That last voice was Charlie’s, and Dani couldn’t help but wonder if finding out his dad hadn’t actually dated her had made him want to be the one to get his hands on her. Danielle had a grin on her face walking away. It had been a while since she’d had a roomful of teenaged boys clamoring over her, and she hadn’t realized how much she’d missed the feeling.

“You seem a little jealous.” Danielle noted, her gaze on Evan.

“Why? Because those idiots thought they had a chance with you?” Evan asked pridefully, and Dani couldn’t help herself from prodding him.

“Maybe they do.” Danielle shrugged simply, and tried to walk past Evan, but he grabbed her by the wrist. She turned, and saw the hunger in the boy’s eyes. The jealousy. The burning lust.

Danielle bit her lip. Damn it all, but those teen boys’ attention had made her rather aroused, and the desire in Evan’s eyes made her feel no less hot.

“So… why’d you want to be in an empty room with me?” Dani teased, her teal eyes dancing. Evan gazed at her, and there it was again, that burning lust. He surged forwards all of a sudden, and then his lips were on hers. Dani stumbled at the ****, but he caught her before she could fall, lifting her up. Dani moaned into the teenager’s mouth, burning heat for him coursing through her body as she wrapped her arms around his neck, tightening her legs around his waist. They kissed fiercely, but slowly, Dani recalled they were in a hallway where anybody could walk past. It was an isolated hallway, sure, but a hallway nonetheless.

“Bathroom?” she panted, tipping her head towards the door to the bathroom, which looked to be one person only. Evan nodded eagerly, and she found herself being carried towards the door. She glanced around to make sure nobody was looking, but frankly, she didn’t care.

Evan Simmons carried her inside the bathroom, and he locked the door behind them.
