Austin's Leaving TDD

On a random day in August, Austin called Jason to see how things were going. After a while, Austin informed Jason that he was leaving TDD in 12 months. Austin had found an opportunity to work as an executive in a marketing analytics firm across the country. Jason was shocked. Austin was doing so well at TDD. His first thought was that Erica would be crushed.

Jason: Did you tell Erica you're leaving?

Austin: No, I know she's going to be upset. She's in the middle of her push for Manager and I feel like I'm leaving her hanging.

Jason: Oh man, that's not good. I get why you're leaving, and I'm excited about your opportunity. Can you let me think of the best way to tell Erica before you tell her?

Austin: Absolutely. I'm in no rush. We've got a year.
