Yes, of course Ora remembered. The next deal with the devil was due. “The chapter has only begun and you are already clamoring about that? How uncouth.”
“Says the one running around in the rain and cackling like a witch.”
“Ugh! Just state your proposal!”
This time, she won’t get one over her, Ora thought. The little Goddess will veto anything that has to do with the magic Cherry shop.
Instead of answering Cherry first sought refugee from the rain in the gazebo and casually took one of the cookies laid out there.
All the while, Ora watched her impatiently. “Well? Out with it! We don’t have all day!”
But Cherry was clearly in no hurry as she first seated herself and then began munching on the cookie. “I have to admit these are very good. Did you bake them yourself?”
By now, Ora’s anger had reached such a boiling point, the rain landing on her turned to steam. “You insufferable, annoying, deplorable mortal. If you think that I will lose my cool, then you are...”
“I wish to contact the readers.”
The little Goddess raised eyebrow. “That’s all? You can already do that.”
Cherry shook her head. “I mean private. Like sending a message. Without your knowledge.”
“Are you insane? Why would I ever allow you to…”
“In exchange”, Cherry calmly stated, while finishing her snack. “I offer to get rid of the same chapter garments destroyed rule.”
“Huh?”
Cherry smiled. Since this requires quite a few banned words, and this has become quite the hassle, she simply continued her explanation inside her mind. I’m willing to not have clothes I receive in the same chapter be unable to be destroyed. Well, I suppose we need to make an exception for the magic Cherry shop clothes, but otherwise…
Ora couldn’t help herself from widening her eyes.
That was indeed a significant loophole. Right now, Cherry could simply buy the cheapest article in the shop and no matter how many clothes she would lose, she would be able to stave off naked mode for 10+ chapters.
It was a loophole Ora intended to plug herself via the favorite stretchgoals but why would Cherry be mad enough to give away her biggest advantage?
She must really want that deal.

Allowing this deal would effectively give Ora a blind spot. For the first time the Goddess would no longer be omniscient.

The student council headquarters was a massive monstrosity perched on a small hill at the southern edge of Pasdenom College. It looked a bit like a cross between Versailles and Dracula’s castle.
Cherry noticed that the monorail wasn’t targeting the building itself but the hill beneath. An ominous hole soon swallowed them up and the train came to stop in what was a huge cavernous train station.
“We have arrived”, Michael stated matter of factly as he escorted the girls out of the train and into the station.
The place was fairly deserted, which was perhaps to be expected. It was the middle of the afternoon and even the student council member had to attend classes.

Anna Mcmasters was not having a good time.

Naturally, a hallway pass didn’t rank particularly high on Anna’s mind right now. But just as she was formulating a response, a baseball cap appeared on her head, while her yellow boxershorts vanished.

“What is it now?”, the secretary sighed.

As Anna tried her best to calm herself down there was suddenly a knock on the door.
Anna yelped in surprise. “O-occupied!”
“Oh, please”, came the haughty response from the other side.
And suddenly, the stall door swung open, even though Anna was pretty sure she locked it.
In front of her stood a smug looking black haired girl playing cosplay. She looked rather out of place with that frilly, gothic lolita looking dress of hers.

The girl curtsied. “You may call me Ora and I thought it only good manners to formally welcome our newest participant.”

Anna remembered that name from Cherry’s documents. “Are you the one behind all of this nonsense?”
“You could say that”, Ora responded with a smirk. “I am glad you are much quicker on the uptake then Cherry, but still, let us not waste time with exposition.”
She snapped her finger and Anna was granted the perk “omniscient”.
Just as Cherry and Katie beforehand, Anna was immediately brought up to speed on everything that had transpired and the true nature of this game.
But unlike Cherry who was granted “calm and collected” and Katie who was, well, Katie, Anna had none of these defenses against this reality defying abomination.
As such she screamed.

Even Ora couldn’t help herself but be a bit taken aback, but then again, this reaction was probably more normal considering the situation. Which is why she usually hands out “calm and collected” But, too bad. Ora is done playing nice!

“Oh come now”, the Goddess thus rolled her eyes. “Don’t tell me this is too much for you to handle?”
It was too much! Way too much! Anna was experiencing a complete existential crisis!
Taking shallow breaths, Anna hugged herself and desperately tried to keep a hold on her sanity. But the more she tried, the more the crushing reality of everything weighted down on her. Are we even having free will? Is any of this real? Do we even exist?
And what happens to us once the story is over?
Ora let out a long sigh, feeling the closest approximation to pity she was capable of. “Don’t worry. This universe will continue to exist. Your meaningless, dull lives will progress as normal, too. Well, there is that one planned tale called “Sexy Backrooms” that might star you in the future...but anyways, you should thank me, for providing you with a modicum of excitement.”
Anna let out one more final scream.
Then mustering up all of her available grit, she **** herself into being calm. Anna glared at this peculiar girl in front of her as she refocused her thoughts. “That...that just was a perk?”

Upon this, Anna did something that was both rare and very terrifying.
She smiled.

“I expected nothing less, Anna Mcmasters!” Ora cackled. “I will be looking forward to how you handle yourself.”

Michael responded with a short bow. “You honor me, my Empress.”

“So this is the infamous Cherry?” one of the ministers asked as all eyes were drawn towards the half naked girl.

“I do hope I will be properly compensated for my sisters contribution in this”, said the Minister of Education.
With a modest cough, the empress brought the chatter to a halt slowly rose from her seat. “Well done, Michael Sonozaki. In light of your accomplishment, I will hereby grant you one boon. What is your desire?”

-destroyed article of clothes will be randomly picked from both girls but the number will be increased to one article of clothes every ten likes and one article of clothes every nine likes
-Anna will not inherit Cherry’s curses and perks, however a new system will be in place for her(more on that further below)
-any purchases in the shop can now also be applied to Anna, however there is no discount for her
-both girls can enter naked mode individually, however only a loss of Cherry will result in a game over.
-should one girl be in naked mode, clothes loss will not be halted for the other girl, vice versa, should new girl receive a game over, the clothes loss will continue at one article every ten likes and one article every nine likes
-Should Cherry lose before Anna, she will be able to sacrifice new girl for a second chance
To account for the completely new wardrobe new girl will likely bring, the next three chapters(including this one) will feature double clothes loss for Anna.

Curses work differently for Anna. Instead of curses being dependent on favorites, readers will be able to choose between on out of three randomly selected curses, that she will receive each chapter. The pool for this is limited, so once dismissed curses may show up in the future again.
