Dev uses Leverage on Sofea

After ordering their food and sharing a drink, Dev felt he'd been patient enough. With a sneaky gaze and a deepened voice, Dev whispered, "Sofea, you seem so happy-go-lucky and chipper all the time. Surely there's something buried underneath that you feel anxious about?"

He saw Sofea's dazed and confused face click back on. It wasn't everyday she reveals her relationship and familial problems to a guy she just met, but this wasn't an everyday situation. "Well, my relationship with my family isn't the greatest right now.." she was trailing off but Dev wouldn't allow it.

"And why's that? Are they not a fan of their daughter having a girlfriend?" Dev understands the upbringing of a South Asian family and thought this must be it.

"Well, not quite. They aren't mad about her because my parents don't know she exists. They are so homophobic and I don't want my two worlds to collide. I just know it will end in disaster on both sides."

There it is. Dev had found a way to gain Sofea's trust and following. Or, had he just found a way to blackmail Sofea?
