She joins them in the car

They seemed nice enough. A bit of rest would be much appreciated too, so Julie timidly agreed to the ride.

"Cool, hop on in!"

They all entered the car. Julie was in the back seat by the window. She was happy the girl came and sat next to her rather than one of the guys. It was a pretty tight fit once everyone was in. Everyone had a lot of questions for her. They began simple, asking her where she was from, how long she was staying, etc. She was able to answer these questions without much trouble, even though her voice was a little shaky. After these formalities, they began to pry about her predicament.

"Sooo, you lost a bet or something right?"

Julie had to choose her words carefully if she wanted to perserve any dignity, and not arouse too much further suspicion.
