Claire was beaming with excitement not just because she found a ride to get home but most importantly she gets to continue her night with Veronica, her sweet maiden. Claire was excited to learn more about Veronica and her interests that they possibly share. Veronica smiled and stood up, “Man I am tired.” She let out a groan as she was stretching. “Shall we make our way to my carriage?” Claire couldn’t help but stare at the radiance that she was exuding whether it was her mind creating it or if Veronica just was naturally that alluring.

Claire stood up and wiped the her hands on her jeans as Veronica struck a pose while staring deeply into Claire’s eyes. “Are my eyes all puffy? Sorry I know I didn’t cry but I was about to if you hadn’t shown up.” Veronica didn’t say anything besides offering her hand as the two girls left with fingers intertwined. Claire had been through a roller coaster of emotions and honestly hadn’t had peace like this ever in her life except when she can fully immerse herself into her virtual worlds. She even pinched herself to make sure that she wasn’t dreaming about all this happening. Veronica giggled a bit seeing Claire pinch herself hard enough to let out a little yelp of pain.

“So what game are you currently playing right now? They just came out with a new game that actually has a hundred playable characters that has been preoccupying my free time. I’m assuming you’re a gamer since you give off that vibe as well,” Veronica said as Claire’s eye lit up with excitement. Veronica was transforming with each passing second and sharing similar passions was a game-changer. Claire was smitten with her maiden and bit her lip to only have her become more beautiful with every passing second.

Claire spoke casually, “I actually hadn’t gotten around to playing it yet. I’ve heard amazing things about the story and graphics though. I would love to play it sometime soon but I’m also saving my money for the release of the remake of one of my all time favorite games that comes out at the end of the month.” Veronica’s expression changed and Claire could see the enthusiasm exploding out of her like a volcano erupting.

“Oh my gosh! Yes when they made the announcement for it I couldn’t believe it was even in production. It’s the best game in my opinion in the whole series and it looks soooo good. I have it in my top 5 games all time,” Veronica said confidently with a smirk. Claire was instantly transported to another world just like when she plays a video game and she was actually the MC with Veronica as a partner who was there for the journey. She would need to gain her trust along the way but it would lead to better gear as well as invaluable experience.

“Gawd! You are absolutely divine,” escaped Claire’s smiling lips without any control over her speech. Claire froze up again that she had no control over her thoughts tonight and felt her cheeks burning from her random boldness. Veronica just smiled with a hint of a blush in her own cheeks, eyes focusing solely on Claire before shyly looking down at the ground. Claire giggled nervously and said, “I’m not normally this upfront with anyone. I apologize as I really need to control my thoughts.”

Veronica moved her bangs to the side again and said, “Please don’t apologize. I’m just not used to compliments.” She got closer to Claire, so close that she could feel her breath in her ear. She said, “I think it’s very cute and endearing, my sweet knight.” Claire felt her heart start to beat out of her chest as she bit her lip once again at the sensation of her soft voiced compliments resonating in her very soul. The two girls had arrived at the car, still holding one another’s hand. They finally released each other’s grip and went into each of their respective doors and sat in the silence of the car. Neither was wanting the night to end but only one had the power to keep it from ending.
