Chapter 128 by Jpyric Jpyric

Somehow, your dreams can’t nearly match the wonder of your reality.

A new life

Over the next few days and weeks, you adapt to the new life you’ve found yourself in. You quit your job after seeing the eye-popping amount in your bank account. You move the things you need from your apartment, giving away the things you don’t. You get to know the household staff, in particular Claire. The seemingly aloof head of staff warms to you and the girls, and seems to loosen up a bit, though she is always proper and formal.

Mark and Alice are good friends, and constant companions. The pair are as flabbergasted with their change in fortunes as you are, and it’s not too long before Alice blushingly tells your group that she’s expecting as well. Everyone is overjoyed for her, especially Emi, who is still getting sick most mornings. You would be concerned if Sam wasn’t there to assure you that everything is normal.

Speaking of Sam, she has rearranged her life as well. Not long after you close the door on your old apartment for the last time, she announces that she’s doing the same with her home. Though it’s mostly a formality, since she hardly stays there anymore, it makes things much more official. So official, in fact, that it spurs you into action on something else.

It’s been nearly two months since the day you signed the paperwork when you finally make your move. You’re having a pleasant evening in the expansive yard behind the mansion, having just finished a dinner in a beautiful gazebo with Emi, Sam and Lili. As the last of the dishes are cleared away by the dutiful kitchen staff, you share a look with Emi, who smiles and nods.

Standing, you take Sam’s hand and lead her out on to the grass, the first stars of twilight appearing in the sky. She looks at you curiously, but lets you take her. Emi and Lili follow, stifling giggles and smiles. You turn to Sam, taking both of her hands in yours, and look her in the eyes.

“Sam, I want to say some things.”

She tenses, but nods. You smile, and continue. “We have turned what was supposed to be a chance encounter into an incredible relationship. You have been understanding, helpful…loving. In short, almost too perfect. I love you, Sam, and I just have one question for you.”

You drop to one knee, reaching into your pocket and pulling out a small box. Sam gasps, covering her mouth. You open the box to reveal a diamond ring. Taking a deep breath, you look up at the blushing woman, and speak softly.

“Sam, will you marry me?”

A tear runs from her eye as she nods. You stand, and start to put the ring on her finger, but she stops you with a smile.

“I have two conditions, however.”

You chuckle. “Nothing else about us is traditional, so I should have expected that. Go ahead.”

She glances back at Emi and Lili, who are both bouncing excitedly. “First, that you at least do a ceremony of some kind for them. You can’t legally marry Hybrids, but…they deserve it. They’re family.”

You nod. “Done. That makes perfect sense. And your second condition?”

Sam smiles, stepping in close to you, her voice dropping to a sensual purr as she speaks softly in your ear. “On our wedding night, I expect you to put a baby in me like you did Emi. Think you can handle that, stud?”

You shiver slightly at the desire in her voice, but you gulp and nod. “I think we can handle that…”

Sam grins, taking the thing from you and slipping it on. “Good. I look forward to it.”

Before you can respond, Emi and Lili rush over and hug you both. There’s happy smiles all around, and soon Lili coaxes everyone into dancing. In the moonlight, your happy little family dances and sings, and everything is right in the world.

Things couldn’t get any better.
