Let's have breakfast first

Vanessa didn't know what to say.

"Come on, give me a chance. I am not a bad guy, I swear! Do it for your friend Tori?", Tori's stepfather pleaded.

Vanessa looked at him in deep thought for a couple of seconds. "Fine, if you want me to believe you're a nice guy, let me shower in peace and make me some breakfast. I'd rather discuss this with a full stomach", she finally said

"Of course", Tori's stepdad said, suddenly devoid of any menacing air, "How do you like your eggs?"

"Scrambled, with bacon if you have some", Vanessa told him.

"We do", he said, in a strange, serious tone. He closed the shower curtain and left the bathroom.

Vanessa let the warm water soothe her nerves, and thought about what she had learned. The more she learned about men, the more they seemed like animals, driven by their instincts rather than common sense. She also thought about what he had said about living alone with Tori. Tori did have a nice rack, from what Vanessa understood. Not many other people could dwarf her except Vanessa. Guess that is a problem if you are turned on by breasts. And this guy definitely is.

Vanessa also thought about how Tori never really talked about her family. Her stepdad had said he's a widower, guess that meant Tori's mom has died. Was it a long ago? Vanessa didn't remember Tori ever speaking about it or appearing sad at school. Vanessa turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. Just then she realized she hadn't asked for a towel. She opened the cupboard in the bathroom. She didn't find any towels, but she did see a red women's bathrobe neatly folded away into the cupboard.

"This must be Tori's. She won't mind if I borrow it for a while."

Vanessa wrapped herself into the bathrobe, picked up her clothes and opened up the bathroom door. The sizzle of eggs and bacon and a lovely scent greeted her on the outside. Tori's stepdad was clearly busy making breakfast.
