ALICE Ch 97

Colby answers her door a little shyly.

“I didn’t think you’d come,” she says.

“That’s what she said,” Alice replies, giving her the double guns with her fingers.

“Oh god.”

Alice frowns and looks at the shirt that Colby wears, which has some kind of anime girl on it. “Is everyone on this team a nerd except me?”

“Huh?”

“Nothing.” Alice slips inside and pauses in her tracks. Colby doesn’t have a big suite like Faye and Alice do. She has a normal room with a king bed. There’s nothing wrong with it; this is a nice hotel. It’s the kind of room that would’ve excited the old Alice from Gurlberg, before all this.

But it’s still a reminder that class difference exists. Formula One isn’t all fun and glamor. People protest it because it’s bad for the environment, and a lot of people don’t like it because it’s just a very bougie sport. Alice has to distract herself from those things; she knows that she won’t like where she ends up if she really thinks about them.

Colby’s bed is not covered in stuff. The room is conspicuously tidy. In fact, it looks like she wasn’t even on the bed. There’s a fancy, colorful laptop set up on the desk. It looks like Colby was there, playing games.

“So you want to talk about ‘the car’, huh?” Alice drops into the armchair by the bed. “You want to brag to me about having a harem of hung pit girls?”

Colby reddens slightly and shuts her laptop, leaning against the desk and meeting Alice’s eyes.

“I did want to ask about that.”

“Ask? OK,” Alice says.

“Have you…? Have they done anything with you?”

“Done anything? Like…” Alice snorts, cocking her head. “Gangbanged me? No. I never see them outside of work. Are you not getting nightly gangbangs?”

“Oh my god! Stop saying that!”

“You really aren’t. That’s disappointing. We should ask for our money back,” Alice says, crossing her legs. “That’s odd. I think they really like you.”

“I think they’re like…” Colby crosses her arms, looking thoughtful. “Being professional.”

“What?”

“I’m serious. I think they won’t do that stuff if they’re anywhere near work.”

“I can believe it. They are so good. Not at gangbanging,” Alice adds quickly and Colby glares. “At the job. Even I noticed a difference. I’m not a stopwatch. And you know when they changed my wing during qualies? Whatever we’re paying them, they’re worth it.” She gives Colby a look. “But you’ve been thinking about this. What about your hot sorority girlfriend?”

Colby sucks her breath in through her teeth. “She loved it,” she says nervously after a moment. “Uh, hottest phone sex ever.”

Alice laughs and puts her face in her hand. “So you have the green light to get more. Your girlfriend sounds cool.”

“She is.” She looks away. “But she’s not here.”
