Chapter 97

What's your next Move?
Lindsay has to wait a few hours for the tow. It's a fine afternoon.
Lindsay sighs. "So, it's dead?"
"Dead," you confirm, nodding at the engine. You unhook the support and close it up. "Blown head gasket, maybe a cracked block. You got towing insurance?"
Lindsay tucks her keys away. "Yeah. Mom is always, 'Get the extra towing insurance, if you need a tow, you really want it.'"
"Your Mom's right."
Lindsay laughs. "Right on this one anyway." She licks her fingertip and drags it down an imaginary scoreboard. "Score one for Mom. I'm still ahead, though. Guess I'll call it in. Look, four bars of signal off here in nowheresville." She smiles.
While Lindsay makes her call, Priscilla and Mary are sitting in folding chairs on the sunny side of the RV, going through the pages of Mary's copy of Loving Community: God's Plan for Open Marriage. Priscilla makes little exclamations from time to time, whether confusion, surprise, or delight, while Mary nods along earnestly, pointing to a phrase here or there and explaining what she thinks about it.
The good thing about being on a ridgetop out in the country is that you're a quarter mile from the cell tower Lindsay pointed out. The other thing about being on a ridgetop out in the country is that she's going to have to wait three or four hours for the tow. You have every hope you can make a little bit more Lindsay into a good thing.
"Three-four hours? More time for a picnic," you say. "Though I can think of a few other ways to enjoy this nice weather." You give Lindsay a smile and a wink.
"Hmm, I wonder what you're thinking?" Lindsay says. She tilts her head and smiles.
"Right now I'm thinking I'm gonna go take a leak. Guess I'm doing okay staying hydrated." You nod to Lindsay. "You want to watch, or come help?" you ask.
Lindsay laughs. "That's all right," she says. "Maybe if I'm still here at sunset, you can give me an encore." She winks.
"Your wish is my command, ma'am."
Lindsay waves you off with a smile.
When you get back, Lindsay's looking worried.
"Have you seen my phone charger?" she asks. She describes it. "It was in my car yesterday."
"What's wrong, honeybear?" Mary asks as you walk by.
"Lindsay's phone charger is missing, and she might get a call anytime," you explain. "Hoping we get lucky."
The fancy RV that you're driving to its new owner has ... a cell phone charging station. In fact, it's got a whole-ass portable power bank docked into a utility cupboard. And a bunch of cables.
"Whoo-hoo!" you cry.
"That mean you found a charger?" Lindsay asks when you pop your head out the door.
"Charging station, with the right cable," you say. "You want it indoors or out?"
Lindsay laughs. "Bring it over, I love the weather and the view, and hell, that's why I brought us here!"
Mary cocks her head at the "H" word but doesn't say anything.
You lug the battery station out onto a table that folds out from the side of the RV. Lindsay plugs her phone into one of the octopus tentacles coming out the side and grins when the CHARGING indicator comes on.
Lindsay sighs with relief. "Thank God," she says. "And thank you!" She grabs you and gives you a kiss. "Party time again."
"How about your hotel job, you gonna make your next shift?" you ask.
"I made a deal to switch, so I'll have another day," she says. "Hope that's all I need."
"Yeah, guess I better tell my buddy where we're at. We should still be good, but I don't want to leave you stuck without a ride back home."
"If it comes to it, my mom can pick me up," Lindsay says. "Though she'll talk my ear off about running off in an adultery wagon with a couple that I just met. Maybe she'll even give me the business about the actual adultery part."
"I cannot tell a lie, I would have to swear that adultery did take place, if it came down to it," you say. "Maybe the Samarian Travelers will run you home. We've got Dana Polk's number, at least. Maybe you got Bob's number?"
"I do," Lindsay said. "I guess I better see about that."
"You got things worked out, honeybear?" Mary asks.
You look to Lindsay. She nods and says, "Pretty much. Phone's charging, I have someone to take my next shift, and we're working on how to get me home. I think it's time to cash in all the goodwill from the free coffee and restroom cleaning I did for them back at the visitor center."
Mary grins. "You go, hon," she says. "For that, they should go the extra mile for you personally."
Your wife has worked at a diner for twenty years, making oceans of coffee and cleaning acres of restroom surface, so she has plenty of feeling for Lindsay's duties at her hometown's highway visitor's center where the Samarian Travelers motorcycle club dropped in frequently.
Lindsay sits in a folding chair, her phone plugged in and charging while she starts clicking away on a text message. Priscilla heads into the RV, maybe to change out her own personal fluids. You look to Mary.
"So, Mary, sweetie-pie, did you and Priscilla figure things out?" you ask. "You were hitting the books pretty hard there while me and Lindsay were trespassing."
Mary laughs, tilting her chin up. Her long hair is down, waving in the ridgetop breeze, the sunlight sparkling off her wavy dark tresses. Your wife is so beautiful when she laughs, out in the sunlight like this. You're going to miss her when you're back on the road. But at least she keeps her oven poked while you're gone, so she's hot and ready for you when you return.
You wrap your arms around Mary and lean close to her ear. "Did you and Miss Prissy get any ideas, sweetie-pie?" you whisper.
"Oh goodness gracious, no, honeybear," Mary says. "The way Priscilla was picking at this and that, I'm afraid it was all paging back and forth, trying to piece it together for her. But she likes the message."
"I'm happy for that," you say. Whispering again, you ask, "You good with her riding along, still."
"Yes, honeybear, Priscilla is a sweet lady," Mary says. "Hungry for love and for loving." She kisses you and steps back. "Let me check with her about something she was asking."
Mary goes up the folding steps into the RV and closes the door. Ten minutes later you hear Priscilla's voice raised in sexual climax. Lindsay comes and sits by you. You put an arm around her shoulder, listening to the faint sounds until Mary calls out upon the angels and Heaven in her own heights of joy.
"Your wife is really special," Lindsay says.
"She's one of a kind, Mary is," you say. "Things like this just happen around her. I knew I'd rather be her number one than try and fight it. She was already witnessing for her vision of Loving Community, what-have-you, before whats-his-name wrote that book. And besides I already had a few lady friends with benefits on my regular long-haul routes."
"Guess you're a good match," Lindsay says.
You start hearing Priscilla's voice again. Sounds like Mary is taking her time this time.
"You in the mood for some witnessing to joy, Lindsay?" you ask. "Out here on this beautiful day?"
Her eyes sparkle. "Take me," Lindsay says.
In half a minute she's naked and bent over for you. You're ready in another minute.
"Ohhh, that feels good," Lindsay says as Old Number One slides up inside her.
Then her phone rings.
She can't reach it from where you're at. She sighs. "Sorry Brian, I got to take that."
"Comin' out," you say. "Don't want to miss your tow."
"Bob?" Lindsay says. "What, where are you? How far away?"
You put Old Number One away and rub **** gel over your hands, in case the answer is "nearby".
"That close?" Lindsay says. She rolls her eyes. Lindsay looks at you, points to her fallen sundress and hooks a finger toward herself, motioning get it. She smiles. Please get it. Lindsay stands up straight, still coupled to the power bank by the charging cable.
Priscilla's voice rises toward another climax inside the RV. At least somebody is getting some.
You pick up Lindsay's sundress, billowing in the breeze while its owner is looking at you, gloriously naked in the sunshine, her platinum-frosted ringlets practically glowing as the breeze tosses her hair. A few shakes takes care of the dust and bits of grass on her dress. You step up and hold the hem over the top of her head so she can get back in. Lindsay talks her way through, switching phone hands midway as she wriggles into the loose, colorful dress.
"Oh Mary YES!" Priscilla cries from inside the RV. "I never knew, oh, OH!"
Turning all the straight girls bi, that's your wife. You don't recall if she's told you any stories about turning gay boys bi, but it would in no way surprise you, it's just an unlikely opportunity in Mary's usual circles. Maybe not that unlikely, at a late evening diner shift.
You have 2 XP, +0 Hard, +0 Hot, +1 Cool, +1 Control, Eat Pussy, OMG, and Submissive (Mary)
Roll a Random Event from the One Page Solo Engine (Action Focus, Topic Focus): 2H, QD. Seek (Social), Equipment (Technical). What sort of equipment? (Detail Focus): 6D, Mundane (Technical). Lindsay or Priscilla needs to borrow something (a phone charger, perhaps)? Or someone else shows up?
TELL HER (Lindsay): 2d6+Hot, 5 = Miss. She laughs off your invitation, preoccupied with her phone charger. Now she's worried. GET OUT OF TROUBLE (2d6+Cool): 9+1 = 10, no problem. The afternoon is yet young!
MAKE HER BEG (Mary and Priscilla): (2d6+Hot, +1 Submissive, -1 two girls): 6+0 = 6, Miss. Mary and Priscilla have more immediate business with each other.
TELL HER (Lindsay): 2d6+Hot, 10. She's hot and ready, take +1 Forward.
FUCK HER, 2d6+Hard+1 = 5+1 = 6, Miss.
One Page Oracle:
- Is it Lindsay's phone? (yes/no, even, d6, d6) = 5, 4: yes.
- What's it about? Random Event (Action Focus, Topic Focus): 2S Seek (Mystical), Joker (Random Event!). The Samarian Travelers are already nearby!
- Who's along with Club President Bob? (Random NPC): draw 3H, d6=1. "Drifter (Social), unremarkable." A new club member? Are they interested in joining your afternoon party? Oracle, How Much: d6=2, "Less than expected", they're mostly present as a favor to Lindsay via Bob. Maybe they're Bob's date on a pleasure ride, annoyed at a long diversion? Maybe they hang around to be Lindsay's ride once the tow truck arrives?
- How about Dana Polk, is she around? (yes/no, even, d6, d6) = 1, 2: no, not today.
Who else arrives by motorcycle with Bob?
