FINALLY! Some good news...

I came down to see the majority of the house gathered around the main tv, the Professor looking incredibly happy as several others looked like they were about to cry. On the screen was a news story about how only an hour ago several announcements were made impacting the lives of Mutant kind everywhere.
First: The U.N. officially recognized Genosha as a safe haven for mutant kind and it's own Country.
Second: Genosha was publicly offered a seat as well as AID should they need it.
Third: Several ambassadors from different countries were going to be chosen and sent in an attempt to improve relations between mutants and humans.

What followed next was the President of the United States making an announcement. Effective immediately William Stryker had been labeled as a Warmonger and his Purifiers were referred to as a cult! They were facing charges of Terrorism and being called TRAITORS OF HUMANITY! The next thing heard that shocked the mansion most? That the Sentinel Program was being shut down. Permanently! All remaining Sentinels were to be deconstructed and what's more? Their designer Bolivar Trask was to be arrested and put on trial for attempted genocide of a species no less! An order to arrest William Stryker was also sent out for his numerous WAR CRIMES against the Mutant people!

Needless to say for the mansion this was MASSIVE news! Cable looked absolutely stunned as he witnessed the historic event alongside everyone else, few of them could believe it was real but everyone was so happy! That's about the time I got a mental message from the Professor. "Did you know anything about this? Did you make a wish perhaps?" I responded with no, that I hadn't wished for anything like this. The truth was I had wished for things to get better for mutants sure, but I hadn't expected anything like this! This was so much more than just better, this was fantastic news! It didn't take long for people to start celebrating, I ended up heading back to the Foundry though. I mean I don't have a problem with celebrating of course, but I'd gotten a notification that it had finished one of the things I'd set it to make.

I arrived back to see it open up, revealing that it was ready, the Prototype Warsuit was finished. I had a LOT of upgrades it could get and this was only the first prototype, BUT it would prove to be VERY useful, I was already certain of that. I removed the finished Prototype, looking over the Warsuit curiously, taking notes, inspecting it, studying it, learning all I could... Then I got a pop up saying that it can now start making the portal network, it told me how I could select to place down the portal and the network would connect itself automatically. I set the Foundry to work on the next set of tasks making sure that there would be multiple portals made among other needed items as well as setting up for the first upgrades for the Warsuit. First thing I did was try out the Warsuit, taking it down to the Danger room and just doing a bit of quick target practice, something light and easy to work through. I had called the Professor down asking him to over see it and for awhile everything was going great, until we received a message through the mental connection, one asking for help.

"Hello?! Is this working? We need help!"I got through the message system. "Hello? Who is this?" I asked, trying to respond to the message. "Zane? It's Miles! Listen we could use some help out here. The Raft had a huge jailbreak and Pete's hurt! There's so many criminals running wild, Pete said not to put you or the others in danger and..." Miles sounded like he was panicking a bit, whatever was going on was bad. "Alright Miles? Take a breath and try to remain calm. Send me your location, I'll see if I can get some help together and on the way. If Peter's hurt try and keep him from going out there, we'll bring someone that can heal him." I sent back, already moving out of the training room. A moment later I asked the Professor to message Jean or Emma, see if one of them would be willing to come with. I got a nod in response as I rushed to go get ready, hoping a few people would be available to help. I got Miles and Peter's location a minute later, around the same time hearing from Jean that she'd gather some people to help and meet me at the Jet. At first they'd wanted to stop me, but I reminded them I could heal others and Spider-Man was injured which was a big reason I was going. It was just reaching sundown, evening only having just started to set in as I moved quick as I could to the Jet. I sent a couple messages out to a few others as I moved.

Arriving at the Jet I saw Jean, Storm, Betsy (Psylocke), Bambi (Icewoman) and Kitty (Shadowcat) getting ready and piling into the Jet. We hopped in and headed out, flying into the city and heading as close as we could get to the location Miles sent. Thankfully the roof was large enough for us to land there, seeing Miles looking over the city, Pete laid up against a wall holding his side, no sight of the third spider I'd met earlier that day. "Spider-Man!" I called out as the Jet landing, moving towards Peter and sending my Regeneration Sphere combo out, helping his body to heal as I asked... "What's going on?" Miles was the first to start, "Okay so we got multiple big bad's that escaped the Raft, a bunch of them worked together to beat Spider-Man down and then ran off to cause chaos wherever they could. We got Shocker, a bank robber that generates shockwaves through his special suit. Lizard, a scientist named Dr Conners who's Hyde is out and about right now, basically a huge lizard with a mean tail and a lot of strength. Rhino, a runaway Russian bulldozer with a horn, guy's stuck in his suit and keeps trying to steal money to get out of it. Electro, a guy that uses electricity, generates it with a special suit so watch out for that. Vulture, an old guy with a suit trying to steal other peoples youth to prolong his life and fight back against the Cancer in his body. Scorpion, guy was put in a suit with a super strong prosthetic tail, he was given the suit to beat Spider-Man by a journalist, uses poison in his tail and claws to make you hallucinate. There's others out there doing their own thing that are a problem, but those are Spidey's Sinister Six. Me and Ghost Spider will do what we can to deal with as many others as possible, what about you guys?" I looked at him and tried to just digest the crazy group of people Spider-Men had to deal with before shaking my head a moment. "We'll split up, first team is on search and rescue, Me, Storm and Kitty can handle that. Team 2 will be Zane, Betsy and Bambi, they'll focus on the villains." Jean explained as everyone began to move, Miles nodding his head before leaping off and swinging away, Jean carrying Kitty while she and Storm flew, meanwhile I held Betsy and took flight while Bambi created an Ice ramp just sliding herself across the city.

Now we just had to hope we didn't have any EXTRA problems to deal with...
